Pros: "Well built, comfortable ride."

Cons: "Mileage and handling."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I recently purchased a 98 Eddie Bauer edition with the 5.4 litre Triton engine and 4x4. Also has all options from leather to towing to rear AC and heat. This vehicle came with a known history and has been very well maintained over the years. It's comfortable, everything works well and I got a great deal on it. Best $2500 used vehicle I have purchased in 20 years or more. I bought it for a work vehicle and now that gas prices have dropped considerably, I won't feel bad about using it for that. Well built rig but suffers in mileage and handling."

"This vehicle has been very reliable. Currently 135,000 miles with no major service needs. Gas mileage is the only pitfall with 5.4 liter V-8. Very comfortable to drive"

Pros: "good vehicle for transportation,"

Cons: "older vehicle"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Vehicle had been garage kept until 2011, very reliable vehicle, new condenser on air conditioner, the air shocks have been replaced with the kit which consists of new struts and shocks, tires are 85-90% treadwear remaining, interior is all leather and is a Eddie Bauer edition. All miles are highway miles, has been serviced regularly, also has only been driven 7,000 miles or less in the last 3 years."

Pros: "Phenomenal price for a phenomenal vehicle!"

Cons: "Only pass side folds down for 3rd row access."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The ride, performance, handling and sheer power of the '00 Expedition far exceeded my expectations. I have yet to haul my 28' camper with it, but I'm sure that it will live up to my standards. Even though it has some minor flaws (rust above the windshield which I have sealed until I can do the complete job in the spring) such as minor rust (not rot)underneath, the wheels and tires all match, all electrical works, remote entry, dual climate control, 6 disc cd changer, power moon roof, 3rd row seating, P/S, P/B, P/W, P/L, power heated seats and adjustable pedals(for the wife), cruise, backup sensors along with AWD, 4WD high and low range; all work flawlessly. The 5.4L Vortec power plant gives it that certain "giddy-up go" when you REALLY have to pull into traffic quickly. I give this vehicle a SOLID 9.25 out of 10 (I left out the other.75 due to gas mileage, but hey, it's a Vortec!!!)"

Pros: "Holds their value- Worth every penny"

Cons: "Old style has manual seats to lie down or remove"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

Excuse the ding- She got backed into :( Waiting to be fixed! Still love the Matador Red more than any new color

"We bought our Expedition so I could haul my dogs to shows, and also use it to go long distance to visit family. BEST DECISION EVER!! She runs like a top!! We finally had to put new tires on her after 4 years!! Tons of room for crates and grooming equip, and love love love the AC/heat in the rear for the dogs so we don't have to freeze up front to keep them comfy!! Easy to park, easy to drive. I am looking to update her to get the power seats instead of manual to save on my old back. I will miss her- She has been my reliable road companion for 4 years, I don't regret one minute of her purchase!!"

Pros: "Excellent build, sturdy, quality. Great power"

Cons: "The only comment is it loves gas."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought the Expedition used. Was in excellent shape when I bought it, no rust, tears, engine clean. I am very pleased with this vehicle. It has great curb appeal, lots of room inside and handles like a breeze. Has the 5.4 engine and has a ton of power. Goes through any road conditions without a problem. Absolutely fun to drive. You really set up high when you get in. Getting about 16mpg in town and 25mpg on highway. You don't buy this big guy for economical gas mileage!"
