"I just want to say that Ford did a great job with the Expedition. I've had the joy using a 2001 2WD and a 2002 4WD in work and play and they have performed beyond my expectations time and time again! In 4 years and 150,000 highway and and offroad miles I've done things in these trucks that would probably make Ford cringe or applaud, I'm not sure. Be it 100 MPH on the interstate going to an emergency or 3 MPH crawling thru mud up to the door handles they have proven themselves wonderfully! 5 deer, countless ditches and medians, 1 steel cable and 2 wrecks still didn't stop them. Though the last wreck which was 45 MPH into the back of an F-150 totaled the 2001, I barely felt the impact. Also I didn't have a mark on me, didn't have an airbag deploy and the truck still drove off scene under it's own power! A+ for Ford!!"
"While i only had this vehicle a short time i absolutly LOVED IT!!!! I was very sadded by the fact that it was in an accident and damaged beyond resonable repair. But the impact of the accident was barely felt and it made me feel VERY safe and feel like my kids were also very safe. i plan on purchasing another as soon as the fiancial situtaion allows!!!! LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!"
"I've gotten myself a loan on a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD w/78,000 miles on it back in the Summer of 2003 and I was amazed with the reliability, comfort and performance on this SUV yet it drives like a smaller SUV and it's not as bulky looking either, I have checked out the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Dodge Durango of the same vintage but the Expedition's interior was alot more comfortable.
I really prefer the 1997-02 Expedition's over the newer Expedition's, I thought the newer Expedition's don't have as much style as the older Expedition's and I thought Ford had it right with the style of the older Expedition's."
