"I own a 07 limited El it drives very smooth even on bumpy pavement .. Also it may only have 300hp but you always have power on demand..the transmission is very smooth under any circumstance and is quick to shift .Inside the Triton v-8 is barely herd unless floored . and there is no wind noise or road noise the vehicle has expectational brakes and handles very well for such a monster . Not only is that V-8 powerful it is very efficient as well we went on a road trip with the family and we averaged 22.7mpg on the highway .I had the cruise control set for 70mph . I was very impressed . Also in snowy climate the auto 4x4 system works seamlessly it kicks in right away as needed and it doesn't reduce gas millage like other 4x4 systems i leave it on auto all the time that way i don't have to worry about it . The only con about this SUV is the value deprecates allot .. but what do u expect it is an American car..but overall i think this is the best choice of SUV .. GO fully loaded . .4x4and and and...Get this vehicle if you tow allot cause when properly equipped it can tow over nine thousand pounds i put that number to the test and the v-8 didn't even struggle it didn't even feel like their was a trailer on the back ."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 1,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"OK, I like nice cars but because of my height, my Lexus RX 350 seat just didn't fit and was causing lower back problems due to 30,000 miles a year. Looked at Mercedes 350 and was amazed that the lumbar support didn't raise above my lower tailbone. Looked at a Audi Q5, seats felt great except the back to front length is for small people. Decided to look at an Explorer, drove it, liked it, except the seat felt small. Was offered a test drive in the Expedition and thought, "Why not?" The ride is unbelievable, the electronics kill all other cars, and the inside was plush. I did get $6,500 off MSRP due to year end but I'm trying to figure out why anyone would spend the extra money on an Escalade, Denali, Mercedes 350 or Lexus GX460. I guess I was one of those who like the image of a foreign car. I am now a believer in Ford and proud of it."

"I owned a 2002 Eddie Bauer drove to over 160,000 and it was still running great. I bought 2008 King Ranch in early 2009 when gas prices were above $4 and Expedition pricing plunged so low I could not believe it. What I was not ready for was how much more power, better handling and new features were on the 2008 vs. 2002. This is a dream car with King Ranch Chaparral leather heated and cooled seats, ample power, solid handling great breaking and Sirius radio. I also love the backup warning system. Currently at 60,000 miles and other than specified maintenance like oil changes and replacing tires at 50,000 miles I have not spent a dime on repairs on this car. The only compliant I had is the original tires were Pirelli. I replaced with Michelin tires and that took the ride and handling up another notch. This is a great car. Unfortunately it is unlikely I will ever be able to touch a King Ranch again at the price I paid in Feb 2009. Thus the reason I rated this such a value. I will drive this one to a least 200,000 miles."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 48,000
overall rating 2 of 10rating detailsPros: "Very comfortable ride, good gas mileage."
Cons: "Not built for the long term."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"Warranty covers bumper to bumper to 36,000/3 years and 6/60 for drive train only. At 4.5 years an 48,000 had to replace compressor, condenser and flush the a/c system. At stops it idles low and stalls. None of this is covered by warranty. Best bet is to pass it off before this point. I also have a 2004 Explorer with 136,000 miles on it. No major issues. Which makes me very disappointed with this vehicle."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 38,500
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "EVERYTHING"
Cons: "UMMMM, no heated steering wheel. ;-)"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This is my second Expediton, and I love it more than my last one. It actually handles better than my husbands Town Car, according to him, and I can swing this baby into the smallest parking spaces and land on a dime with it. It rides great on long trips, you don't arrive tired, handles well, and is very responsive when you run into crazy drivers (myself not included). I love the space inside, how it sits you up higher, and all the auto seats and back door lift, let me not forget to tell you about the cooled seats, OMG they are a little slice of Heaven on Earth. This would be beyond perfect, IF the heat and A/C controls were on the steering wheel, but not at big deal as they are easy to get to, and the steering wheel was heated. :-) Overall this is one amazing vehicle. All I have to think about for my next Expedition is what color I want. ;-)"
