"I love this vehicle. Built Ford tuff. As you can see..mileage on mine is...well...unheard of! I'm not a daily driver..but if I was, this would make you smile all the way. I'm always the driver, so I can only comment on driver seat. It's great. Made a turn around trip of 3100 miles in 2.5 days in the winter, and she never gave me worry. Space was great for passenger to recline in front or go to center area with seat folded down. At one point I think she rang for room service. Oh yes...we also had 3 small dogs that slept most of the way. If you have one...keep it...if you want one...as always...shop around."

Great for hauling or carrying 8 people comfortably

"Vehicle is very comfortable. Seats 8 easily and luggage without squeezing and passenger. Tough on gas but for taking a family somewhere or hauling a trailer or boat is it an excellent workhorse with plenty of acceleration power."

Pros: "powerful, comfortable, adaptable"

Cons: "not made any more???"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"purchased this vehicle new in 2003. it's been fabulous. the diesel engine has been reliable and a power house when combined with the 4 wheel drive. we have pulled any number of trailers, often loaded with heavy vehicles; have pulled other vehicles (including a chevy or two) out of the mud; have loaded up the fam for long road trips in comfort. the mileage is high but the 6.0 turbo diesel v8 can handle much more. why oh why did ford stop making these?"

Pros: "It's a beast"

Cons: "It's a beast"

"I have owned lots of cars and trucks. This one is hands down, no exceptions, the best thing I have ever had. Better than anyone's suburban, or anything else on the road. it tows it all, fits it all, drives smooth. I have had it all over the country and wish like crazy they still made just this truck."

Pros: "Roomy, safe, great visibility, reliable,"

Cons: "A bit noisy, no cup holders in second row, mpg,"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Great family road vehicle. Missing cup holders for second seat. Good visibility, safe, great for loading the kids, dogs and luggage for vacations. Loads of storage and space for everything from dog crates [large dogs] to luggage and everything you pack when going on an extended vacation. The 7.3 Diesel is awesome and a real workhorse. Windy conditions have huge impacts on mileage, but over all I love this SUV! Too bad Ford stopped production."

"THE TURBO DIESEL IS STRONG, RELIABLE, HAS POWER WHEN YOU NEED IT, CRUISES NICE. RATED FOR 30000 TOWING, YOU DONT EVEN KNOW YOU HAVE 5000 POUNDS ON IT. I CAN FIT FOUR ADULTS AND FIVE KIDS AND SOME LUGGAGE,SHEETS OF PLYWOOD OR FOUR MATTRESSES, A DRESSER AND A BUNCH OF OTHER COLLEGE JUNK IN IT AND STILL BREATH EASILY"
