I own this car - My approximate mileage is 300,000

Pros: "Great. Value. Fast and cheap to buy & operate"

Cons: "Bare bones comforts except great air conditioner."

"I bot his car new in 1994. It has been the best car I have ever had. Fun to drive, fast, cheap to buy and operate. It got about 35 MPG and had few major problems until 300,000 miles. I love this car!"

I love my car!

Pros: "spacious back end and economical to drive"

Cons: "I have no complaints. Great basic car."

"I bought my 1995 2-door Escort LX with hatchback new and have never had a better car. It has been reliable. The $$ I've put in it has been oil changes and tires... can't beat that for 150,000 miles and still going strong. Can get almost ANYTHING in it... including a twin size mattress, which is amazing for a small car... and gas mileage is still great."

I love the car

"I have had this car since the summer. I have had to fix it quite a bit, not because its a bad car but because the person before did nothing to the car and its older, its a 1994 Ford Escort LX. However after I did all the changes to the car it runs runs great for its age. Its incredibly comfortable in the seats. The trunk is very open and big. Its nice that you can access the trunk from inside the car you can pop down both sides of the seat. Because my car is older it as automatic seat belts which is very nice so you dont need to worry about putting your seatbelt on. Its a great car overall. I would recommened it."

Most Dependable Car Ever Had!!!

Pros: "great gas mileage"

Cons: "cheap interior design"

"I bought this car for $1500. I've put 60,000 miles on it in 2yrs, and only had to put brakes and oil changes. Drives like a dream and handles great too. The gas mileage is astronomical even in todays market. I recommend anybody to own atleast one escort in their lives."

Great first car, extremely reliable, great on gas

Pros: "Great car, great mileage, very reliable"

Cons: "Small, somewhat uncomfortable, AC is lukewarm"

"Bought this car for $400, from an auction. Didn't have keys, and Ford stopped carrying the codes for it. After locksmith, the car started, with gas in the tank from who knows when. AC was the only issue, but in Hawaii, no need. Very easy to maintain. The car never broke down on me. It's pretty quick, and fun to drive. It gets great mileage, still competing with cars of its class today. (around 31mpg) It's small, and packing five people in it is uncomfortable. Interior is very base-line. No cruise control, or many features. It has the basics, however. I think its attractive, and will look even more attractive with the sports grill ($20) If you find one of these rare beauties for sale, running, I would definitely recommend giving it a shot."
