Standout styling, class-leading fuel economy and a robust technology package are three reasons to include the new Escape on your small-SUV shopping list.
If you and your passengers like to stretch out, or if you really need the utility of a compact SUV – not just the raised seating position or added bulk – you might find the Escape a bit ti
The new Ford Escape is the sporty compact car of compact SUVs – a title it shares with the new Mazda CX-5. Ford's recent cars have impressed with European-like driving dynamics and feel, and the new Escape continues the trend. When outfitted with the 240-horsepower engine, there's not a competitor that could keep up. Fortunately, the characteristics that contribute to the high fun-factor also help make the Escape a pleasure to drive to the store and the office. The 1.6- and 2.0-liter EcoBoost engines are terrific, both delivering smooth,

"Sporty, comfortable, tech savvvvy, and high quality. I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape SE 4WD 2.0L with tow package. The exterior design may not be for everyone though I find it sporty, appealing, and aerodynamic. The interior is sporty yet professional, large/open, and good quality. All controls are easily accessible and information/audio controls can mostly be controlled via the steering wheel mounted selection buttons, which make driving safer and much easier. Sync works great and can understand all of my verbal "commands." The manual seats are easy to use and comfortable. The rear seats are very comfortable in the reclined position (yes they recline) and rear leg room is adequate. Rear cargo area is very spacious. There is storage everywhere throughout the vehicle which was very thought-out. The vehicle drives very well while feeling sporty yet comfortable/smooth. The RSC (roll stability control), Traction Control, and 4WD definitely make the vehicle very sure footed. The technology in the car seems to inform you if there is any traction/driving condition issues. I would recommend the 2.0L engine if you get 4WD, just has a little more acceleration and able to take the little extra weight of the 4WD. The engine and mechanics appear to be designed well with quality in mind. MPG is good and above what vehicle is rated. The only complaint I have is that the driver and passenger front seats are about 1 to 2 inches too narrow in width, though I would still give the comfort level a very good rating. Also no back up camera or reverse sensors are available with cloth seats (which I desire), which is now common with Ford. Otherwise no other complaints. This vehicle may cost a bit more than some others but in my opinion it is worth the money."

"worst vehicle I have ever owned in 49 yrs. has been in for recalls and TSBs and last week while on a trip, the check engine light came on when I was in the middle of Wyoming. nearest dealer was SLC, UT, 157 miles. I called ahead, the service dept told me they would accommodate me and expedite the service if they could. they scanned the codes when I arrive, had the part, last one in stock, evidently I wasn't their first customer w/this this problem; fixed it according to the latest TSB, and had me on my way in 2.5 hrs to my destination, Washington St...have owned this vehicle for 1 yr and it only has 7300 miles on it after this trip. going tomorrow to look for a new reliable Japanese made vehicle. our other vehicle, toyota corolla has been trouble free for 160,000+ miles...hey ford, I got a better idea, I am going car shopping tomorrow....."
