"Bought the car from a reputably dealership and after two weeks of driving the engine blew. Too fix the engine it cost $4000 plus labor. never gunna buy an escape. If you want to haul anything you'll have more room with a sedan."
"I bought this car used with 165,000 miles on it. For the first 6 months was fine now it's one break down after another it's been towed of the side of the highway 3 times in the last three months. I've owned two other fords and they were the sames way .seem like once a ford is more then 6 years old or has more than 150,000 miles they just turn into a money pit. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD NO MATTER HOW GOOD A DEAL !!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "Great value, excellent on gas and rides very nice."
Cons: "None that i can think of."

"Hatchback very handy. For having 82,000 miles it drives like it is brand new. It's like have a nice car and a truck with the fold down rear seats to carry cargo. Plenty of get up and go. 6 CD player, a/c works great."
"I bought this car used with low mileage. It's great in the snow and we have taught two kids how to drive in it. It has been dependable, economical, and great to drive. Even now with almost 200k miles on it, it is in good to fair condition. Its great for new drivers for safety, ease of use, and handling."
Cons: "no light around ignition, not the most road quiet"

"I got mine last year (2014) I love it. Didn't realize the four wheel drive didn't work until winter. But even with just FWD I never got stuck. No major concerns as far as mine and I fixed the 4 wheel drive for less than 75 bucks. (my own labor) This my my second 01, and both were impressive to me. Am going to trade up to a second gen soon."
