Pros: "Reliable, Safe, Efficient, Powerful and Seats SIX!"

Cons: "Paint is known to chip, rear wheel in snow"

"This sure wasn't my first pick of vehicles. However, the value was hard to pass up. If you are looking for a roomy car, or maybe an extra seat, or a V8 rear-wheel drive car, this is the only choice in my opinion. There are many options for this vehicle, with the rear wheel and the powerful yet efficient engine. This car gets 25 mpg on hiway and 18-19 in the city. It has a sixth seat in the front, and can fit 3 adults in front and another 3 in the back. The trunk space is unmatchable. You can tow with this car, you can add a billion after-market additions, and you can find parts everywhere and anywhere. This was used by police world-wide for a good reason. This car has never gave me mechanical problems. The ONLY problem/issue with this car is that I id have to have it re-painted. It is common to have the paint chip, especially on my color, white. I would HIGHLY recomed this for anyone that likes the style, concept, or looking for an ultra smooth reliable ride. This is your perfect car if looking for a vehicle you can repair yourself. Very safe and comfy. Also you get the benefits of everyone getting out of your way on the hiway and waiving you on to go first...paranoid people everywhere"

Pros: "Size, economy, seating capacity (6), trunk space"

"This Crown Vic XLT is one of the finest cars that we have owned. It consistently gets 23-26 MPG on the highway and rides very well. We love the very large interior and enormous trunk. The V8 engine delivers plenty of power, while providing great economy. We hated to see this model discontinued. Five years of care free ownership."

Pros: "Reliability, Low Maintenance, Fast"

Cons: "Ford D/Ced Model"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is an awesome car. It is super reliable, fast, and easy to repair. Unfortunately Ford will no longer build this model. I believe this car is seriously undervalued. Purchase at auction for $900 bucks. With routine maintenance this car should last for very long time. If you can find one...BUY NOW!"

"One of the better family size sedans I've driven. This used Crown Victoria INTERCEPTOR is worthy of the Ford nameplate in how well it handles and feels solid while going down the highways at any speed. Interior layout and comfort feels great for hours on end, if need be. Leg room front and back is relaxing for any size family member. Engine and transmission response are solid and seat planting when driven properly and one must use some reserve to keep the foot out of the throttle even though it can take it."

Pros: "Low cost of ownership. Very safe and solid vehicle"

Cons: "16 Mpg for city driving"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"The Police Interceptor package gives this 4000 Lbs Car a sporty feel Its Firm and flat when cornering is very stable at high speed. The only negative would be the 16 Mpg when city driving. But on the freeway at 65 Mph its good for 27 or plus Mpg. The best thing about these cars is the Low cost of ownership. This platform has been used by Law enforcement for so many years that all weak parts have been eliminated. The Ford 4.6 has the potential to run reliably for over 300.000 miles and the full frame vehicle is very simple to work on. The Rear wheel drive Crown Victoria is an American classic."
