Pros: "Reliable, affordable, roomy, fast, heavy duty."

Cons: "Gas mileage can be really bad if you drive rough."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The Crown Vic is a very reliable car. It's heavy and strong, and feels very safe to drive. It has lot's of room for five adults to ride very comfortably, and actually has seat belts for six people. The trunk is large enough to carry enough groceries to last a month for a family of seven. Plenty of power too, goes from 0 to 120 mph in about 11 seconds. Corners good with four riders,(if they haven't had too much to eat) and stops near a dime. Have you seen the Bourne series? These cars are awesome! True gas mileage is about 14 city, 20 highway. Why would 90% of the police in the U.S. drive this car for over a decade? Because it's a great car! If Ford still made them, they'd still be the #1 cop car. If you like big, fast cars that are affordable to drive and maintain, this is one of the best ever built."

Pros: "Best car made."

Cons: "WAS the best car made."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"As every police force, taxi company, limo service, and military buyer knows, this is THE car. From its inception in 1979 to the final year, it is one of the most-improved and perfected designs in automotive history. Solid body on frame construction. Rear wheel drive. 50/50 weight distribution. Unbreakable drive train. When one considers that New York taxi companies would buy the police version of these cars from departments that considered them worn out, and then proceed to put another 400,000 miles on them, one can appreciate just how well-built these cars truly are. I bought mine 4 years ago with high mileage, and after getting it on the road, it has cost me $0 in repairs. I have never owned a car that has not cost me on average about $800 or more a year to keep it in good order. This Crown has cost...$0. That to me is simply unbelievable. The Crown was so good, that the aforementioned agencies shopping around to find a replacement car found....nothing. There is no replacement for the Crown Vic. So, everyone is using SUVs and trucks instead. The new cars are all too light duty, small, and expensive to fix. That includes the tauruses and chargers out there. With the Crown, you unbolted a body panel, and put another one on. With these lighter cars, a pit maneuver can bend the unibody."

Pros: "Conftable smooth nice ride"

Cons: "depending how you drive it expend much gas"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Although the car has 160000 miles it runs perfect, if you provide the regular maintenance (BTW very minimal) I could last for ever, my car is a P71 police interceptor. Is a V8 engine and it don't burn too much gas unless you goo full throttle too often, it rides very smooth."

Pros: "good gas milage for a big car"

Cons: "everyone thinks its a cop car"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"this is the most reliable car I have ever owned. Not one problem in 97000 miles. I live in a dusty area and drive this car hard. I do routine maintance every 3000 miles. To bad Ford stopped production."
