Great reliable car

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 220,000

Pros: "Reliable, started through even the coldest weather"

Cons: "Um, its a 98? Overall great car for its time"

"This was my first car and I love it. Looking at buying a new vehicle currently as it has almost one quarter of a million miles on it. It has had some minor work done on it over the years, but what car doesn't. Original struts and clutch still. I have had a few 2 O2 sensors that have had to be replaced, but everything else seemed to be normal wear and tear. I'm sure there could be some other things as well as parents put quite a few miles on it originally. Great gas mileage as I get 30-32 mpg most of the time."

very dependable

Pros: "fun to drive, handles nice, good gas milage"

Cons: "i dont care for the leather"

"bought car with 119000 miles now has 229000 only things replaced were maitence parts, brakes, tir rods, ball joints, alternater, and struts. still has orginal clutch. never had to replace major parts or gaskets. will get alot more miles out of this car. the only thing i dont care for is the wiring under hood is cracking and has been since we got car but has not had running issues. it also has the 2.5 ltr v6"

Decent vehicle that lasted for 13 years

I owned and sold this car
Reason: engine died threw rod on backside of engine - My approximate mileage is 212,000

Pros: "Great car for the years I had it."

Cons: "Minor recall issues. Dash molding curled"

"I bought the 99 contour in 2000 with 26,000 miles on it. I was replacing a 97 contour that got stuck in a baseball sized hail storm which totaled it after only 7 months of owning it. The 99 lasted for 13 years and 0ver 190,000 miles i put on it. It died at 212,000 miles. I only had to replace one strut, some minor vacumn hoses and an oxygen sensor in 13 years. One of the longest running cars that I owned was proud that it lasted that long. Ford tough I guess."

One of the best cars I've ever owned!

great college car good gas millage and fun to dri

Pros: "Great price, Fun to drive, Great gas millage"

Cons: "Cup holders are pointless they are not deep enough"
