Pros: "nice looking car, drives great, no fluid leaks"

Cons: "MONEY MONEY MONEY U SPEND"

"What more can I say, I should have sold it, but when you don't have finances to go into another car you keep supporting the one you have. MECHANICS SAY IT IS A NIGHTMARE TO WORK ON COMPARED TO TAURUS THE SAME YEAR."

Pros: "Non-interference mitsubishi motor, reliable"

Cons: "Boring design- which could be a good thing"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"I bought this car in 2000 from a ford dealer, it had about 15,000 miles at that time. it served as my commute car doing 80 miles daily til 2007 when i bought a new car. I gave this car to my niece who in turn passed to the next family member in need of a car... till this year 2015. it was given back to me because they thought it needed major repairs. Wrong! just a tune up and she's back on the road as my errands-round-town car. The only downside I experienced was the timing belt would need replacing at 70K rather than the recommended 100K. Luckily its a non-interference motor so no major damage done. And the fuel pump went out (located in gas tank, grrr) but that was most likely my fault for running on "E" too often."

Cons: "Transmission"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"From the moment my husband brought this car home it's been a headache already on its second transmission going on its third . This car is a piece of junk much like all Ford models. Haven't seen one yet that is reliable."

"My Ford Contour was not in good shape to begin with, but now it stalls when I stop at stop lights and things. It's truly a great car, and reliable, but there comes a point where a car is not going to work how it was originally engineered to, and its not worth the amount of money going into it. But this is just my car, not all Ford Contours."

Pros: "Inexpensive to drive, good mileage"

Cons: "Shifter boot would never stay attached as intended"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Bought it new in 1996. Reliable, comfortable--not the most exciting car ever, but a solid daily driver. Very few issues over the years. Nothing has ever gone wrong with the AC, the transmission, or the engine."
