"we bought this 1995 ford 15 passenger van in 1996, when it was 1 year old, and 18,000 miles. we wont part with it, it now has 239,000 mi. is always dependable, hauled trailers with it, camped in it, fit in 100"s of foster children we have had 375 at least. drove calif. to arkansas, upholstry is great still, except the driver seat is thin in some places, handles great. paint perfect on outside, replaced the grill cuz it cracked. and overhauled transmission at 200,000 just cuz we thought we should, not otherwise. did have to fix the ac. blend door, oxygen sensor, water pump, idler pulley bearing, and put in a 4 row radiator, but this was thru out all the years. IT IS NOT FOR SALE :)"
"We had to replace parts we wore out, like brakes, etc. and the AC had to be fixed to use whatever replaced Freon, but otherwise this van was pure pleasure. The rating of 9 for value and driving dynamicx are the result of a comparison to a Honda CRV, which uses much less gas and handles well. The van handled wonderfully for its sizem and it got 14 mpg consistently. Not bad. . ."
"I need to comment on fuel consumption. Not a green vehicle, but it moves a lot of weight very well. My van has been extremely reliable. A powerful v-10 (my 2nd v-10) the mileage may be below a diesel however unleaded is less expensive and repairs are less than the diesel options. If I understand correctly the early v-10 models are a better design for the super duty series. I am looking at another E-350 and hope to get the same reliability again."
"We bought this van at a city surplus auction. It was used by a senior center. Ours is mostly red, and since it's big we named it Clifford. We've taken him tent camping, as well as used him to pull our new camping trailer. The only reason we replaced him is because he struggles to pull the trailer. It weighs about 7000 pounds though, which is a few thousand over his rated towing capacity. We replaced him with a diesel Excursion. The transmission went out in the Excursion soon after we bought it, so Clifford had to go rescue it. We've put about 40,000 miles on him, and have not made any major repairs. Mostly tires, and I did give him a tune up at 100,000. He has very little rust for a midwest vehicle. Everything on him still works fine. Brakes are good, he's quite, and for such a large van, easy to drive."
"I have had this van for 10 years and since it has had 77,000 miles. I have had very few problems and only broken down once due to a fuel pump...normal for a vehicle this old. Excellent, comfortable, dependable ride."
Cons: "does need a bit more space to paralell park"
