"I need to comment on fuel consumption. Not a green vehicle, but it moves a lot of weight very well. My van has been extremely reliable. A powerful v-10 (my 2nd v-10) the mileage may be below a diesel however unleaded is less expensive and repairs are less than the diesel options. If I understand correctly the early v-10 models are a better design for the super duty series. I am looking at another E-350 and hope to get the same reliability again."

"We bought this van at a city surplus auction. It was used by a senior center. Ours is mostly red, and since it's big we named it Clifford. We've taken him tent camping, as well as used him to pull our new camping trailer. The only reason we replaced him is because he struggles to pull the trailer. It weighs about 7000 pounds though, which is a few thousand over his rated towing capacity. We replaced him with a diesel Excursion. The transmission went out in the Excursion soon after we bought it, so Clifford had to go rescue it. We've put about 40,000 miles on him, and have not made any major repairs. Mostly tires, and I did give him a tune up at 100,000. He has very little rust for a midwest vehicle. Everything on him still works fine. Brakes are good, he's quite, and for such a large van, easy to drive."

"I have had this van for 10 years and since it has had 77,000 miles. I have had very few problems and only broken down once due to a fuel pump...normal for a vehicle this old. Excellent, comfortable, dependable ride."

"I use this vehicle as a replacement for a pickup truck. The V-10 engine pulls my car trailer very well. The heat and A/C work well on a my 7 passenger van. I have pulled my trailer all over central U.S. A spark plug did blow out of the head and was expensive to fix. As a 1 ton vehicle, expect higher repair costs. I have had this vehicle for over 3 years and it has served me well, even at 215,000 miles I am prepared to travel again this summer."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 154,000

"I have owned this 1994 Chateau Club Wagon for 11 years and love it. It has a back seat that makes into a bed (factory original design) Great for family traveling. It tows a trailer well, and the seats can be removed to allow hauling large items. Handling characteristics are less than stellar, and fuel economy is poor. But that is to be expected with a large vehicle that can work and play like this van."
