Pros: "good performance for a sedan, not bad gas mileage"

Cons: "Transmission needed replacing every 20K miles"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5

"I had the TSi model with a large engine, really loved this car, decent horsepower, great brakes, roomy interior. Bought the car used at 20K, then it need a new transmission every 20K miles until I sold it(dealer warranty are great, $3K+ a replacement back then). Been looking for a replacement, but everytime I find one I like, the ECM has trouble codes that says something is up with the transmission"

Pros: "Big, but doesn't look or feel that big."

Cons: "No manual transmission, getting old by now"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Nice car, but I always wished they offered a manual transmission. I liked it when they were new when I was in high school, and I still like it now, with the back seat full of car seats. You can actually get three in the back seat! Decent power, decent fuel economy, not stellar on either, but you can't very well have both! Even though it was a large midsized sedan, my grandmother still wondered whose "little car" that was!"

Pros: "Its a seventeen year old car with only 46000 miles"

Cons: "AC not working"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Its a Good car and extremely comfortable. It needs an AC otherwise its good. I personally think its to big for just me,perhaps it will be perfect for you. My grandmother bought this car new in 94' and only used it for church on Sundays that why its still in good condition and has awsome mileage. The year she turned 81 she decided to stop driving and gave it to me, I've had it ever since; I use it mainly for school and work, both of which are within two miles of my house."

"I don't understand the poor trade-in value. That is the reason I gave it a low value rating. For the price, you couldn't find a better car! This car is exceptional. It has a luxurious Cadillac style without the outrageous costs of repair and maintenance. I would buy a brand new Vision if they made them today. If you have a chance to buy a Vision that is in good shape, you should jump at the chance. Awesome car, drives smooth, nice amenities. I have had the car only a year with 111,000 miles on it and it still drives like a new car. I paid $1600 for the car and have gotten my money's worth and then some. Only money I have put into the car is maintenance and new tires. Great Car!"

"I was given a 1994 Eagle Vision ESI from my parents when I turned 16. I just got rid of it early this year, which was almost 10 years later! It started every single time, no exceptions. This is pretty impressive, considering I live in upstate NY and it was left outside all winter long. My family had this vehicle for 15 years, and did very little maintainance on it. Other than basic scheduled maintainance, the only thing that went was the water pump. The air conditioning went near the end, but hey... that's what rolling down the windows is for! I have so many fond memories of this car that I will always love it. I realize that 1994 vehicles are getting pretty old at this point, but if you can find one in good shape for a decent price, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat!"
