"I have had some problems with the "brain" where it kicks on an error and there isn't any problem. When you slow down quickly from a much faster speed, the car vibrates almost like the wheels need balanced which makes the steering wheel shake bad. Gas milage is only about 270 miles per tank which is about 20 - 21 miles to the gallon. My trunk leaked to the point that it rusted my jack completely to where it doesn't work. Like the title states, the car is so low to the ground that I, at 5' 11" have to practically drop my body into the seat. Both of my midle 2 vents on the dash are broken to where I can't adjust the vents up and have them hold that position. They just fall back down."
"I love how this car drives but my only problem is the fact that if it kicks into overdrive i can almost see my gas gauge going down. I love the huge trunk!! The only other thing bad I have to say about this car is for a tall person to get into it, it can be a problem, thank goodness i am short!!"
Cons: "clearance is low, Trunk is heavy, but still great!"

"I purchased this car in 2006. I LOVE it. over the years little things have gone wrong, such as a switch in the ac that needed fixed, and the battery needed replaced. a crack in the plastic on the door handle, but they are all minor details. Road trips, two kids, put 50 k miles on it, and nothing major has gone wrong. Recently got a 2002 Honda Accord as another vehicle, and it really made me realize how spaceous and comfortable it was, and the gas mileage is surpisingly good for how big the car is. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone on a budget. Sure there are newer and nice cars, but I would buy another one in a heartbeat. The one thing I hate about it is its clearance. Sits low to the ground, but for someeone willing to put in the time, money and work, that issue can be somewhat fixed."
"I bought my 02 Stratus in 02 w/ 22K miles on it and it now has 163K. I drive it hard and have only had one problem (H2O pump, replaced last week). It has been an amazing car. I use synthetic oil, change it 1-2 times a year, and put over 23K on a year. I've changed the spark plugs once, the air filter a couple times and that's it. It's got a 2.7 liter, don't buy anything else - the rest of the engines are throw-away. The only thing I don't like is they design cars now so you can't work on them yourself and the Stratus is hard to work on. It starts very well in cold weather (-34 last week). Bottom line, it's got power, it's reliable, comfortable, and it's fun to drive."
