The 2010 Ram Heavy Duty isn't technically all-new, but it looks and acts the part. New sheetmetal, a new interior (both heavily derived from the new Ram 1500) and re-tuned underpinnings combine in a more stylish, more refined, more capable offensive lineman of a pickup. Also worth noting is that the trucks have earned their own brand, so now the Dodge Ram is just the Ram.
A new, more-upscale SXT slots above the entry-level SL on Regular and Quad Cabs and becomes the new entry-level Mega Cab model. Top-of-the-line Laramie-trim Quad Cab models add wood-like interior accents, all 2500s get standard trailering mirrors and the transition from high to low range on 4x4 SLT and Laramie models is now done electrically rather than via a manual lever, as it is on SL and SXT models.
When it comes to heavy hauling, the domestic pickup fleet still has a lock on torque and towing ability, not to mention out-and-out ruggedness. If you're looking for a big truck with abilities equal to its imposing good looks, the Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 are just the ticket. For 2007, Dodge's big Ram continues with its signature big-rig front, gains more interior room with the addition of the Mega Cab model and adds power with the availability of the new Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. Of course, if diesel isn't your thing, the standard HEMI engine delivers more than enough power, and bragging rights, for most customers.
