"I have owned this truck since 2004. The only problems ever experienced were those which I created. Ran fuel too low and damaged lift pump. I don't plan on buying another truck. The body style is dated now, but the truck is just so reliable. Tows like a champ. Steering could be improved however there are several aftermarket braces to resolve this issue. Great truck"

Pros: "Preformance and reliability"

Cons: "Gas Millage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought this Dodge new in '05 and have driven it since. Have not had one negative experience to speak of in the 9 years I've owned it. It is not without it's "drawbacks" though, mainly the Hemi 5.7L engine gas millage isn't exactly it's best selling feature. But, as for dependability (reliability) and performance it has been awesome! When I bought it I made sure it had all the "heavy duty" equipment installed to insure longevity. Heavy duty cooling system, heavy duty shocks and springs, added "overload springs" as well and, went with heavy duty "all terrine" performance tires. This "package" has provided an awesome driving experience. And, the engine has preformed beyond my expectations in the time I've owned it. Great truck."

Pros: "plenty of room, powerful engine, great size"

Cons: "front end (steering box, tie rods, ball joints)"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"The Dodge Mega cab has the potential to be one of the greatest trucks out there. Doge went cheap on the tie rods, steering gearbox, and ball joints. This causes the owner the hassle of forking out $2k to $3k for everything to be replaced. These issues were fixed in later model years. The biggest kicker is that Dodge fixed these issues and still wouldn't issue a recall on these parts for the 2008 model year. The truck has great space and utility, everything you want to do you can do in this truck. You can fit 5 6' adults and 1 smaller adult in this truck no problem. You can place most anything in the rear seats, 50" tv, nightstands, etc. Besides the front end issue mentioned earlier it is a great truck. Dodge should have put more into the design of the front end or at least recalled it and fixed it."
