The big news for 2010 is an increase in the Ram's Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) from 14,000 pounds to 15,500 when combined with the 5.7-liter engine and 3.92 rear axle. Fuel-saving advances include a fuel saver warning light on 3.7-liter models and a deceleration fuel cut off mechanism on all engines. New available features include an iPod integration package, an integrated trailer brake controller as well as folding and power operated trailer tow mirrors.
For 2009, the Dodge Ram gets fresh styling inside and out. New entertainment features include uconnect hard-drive radio and navigation, a powerful Surround Sound stereo and SIRIUS Backseat TV. Among the new storage features are bins under the floor in the back seat and RamBox storage in the bed sides.
A new SXT trim joins the line, while 2500 and 3500 models receive a standard 7x10-inch trailer-tow mirror. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 3500 4x4 models with the 6.7-liter diesel engine and six-speed automatic transmission climbs from 23,000 to 24,000 pounds.
The full-size Ram 1500 pickup faces an uncertain future in 2007 as rising fuel prices and a shift to smaller cars threaten to curtail last year's brisk sales momentum. To keep Ram sales charging forward, Dodge has made a number of minor improvements to the vehicle, including the availability of a Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) model. While the Ram Mega Cab's cavernous and plush interior appeals to owners who increasingly use their pickup as the family vehicle, others are simply drawn to the hypnotic allure of an available HEMI engine with fuel-saving MDS (Multi Displacement System) technology. Of course, the Ram is fully capable of performing the tasks expected of full-size pickups such as hauling, towing and off-roading.

"This is by far the best riding truck ever. Dodge got it right with the new rear suspension. Everyone that's rode with me has the same comment, "this is a smooth riding truck". I have personally driven the F150, Tundra, Titan and the Silverado but the Ram has the smoothest ride of them all. I also love the new aggressive look. I have always liked the Ram but waited until a true crew cab was available to purchase one."
