"I own this car and love it. "Scarlet" is the best car I've ever owned. I just wish she could seat 6. She gets amazing gas mileage and never lets me down. I love her, that's all there is to it."

"I purchased a blue 2003 Dodge Neon from a private dealer. I purchased the car with 229,000 miles on it. I collected roughly 60,000 miles on. Overall, not a bad car. I loved my baby blue (first car and it was blue hints the name). Sadly, got rear ended and they totaled it. I had so many issues with the car its hard to know where to begin. My engine always raddled when idling.. especially at a stop light. The car fixing place told me that neons have a tendency to do it. Transmission seemed to try to fail several times, but always kept going. I loved my car!! It was my first car, bought it for 3,500 bucks. If your going to by a dodge neon, make sure it has less than 100,000 miles on it. that way you know how its been taken care of. Loved the car tho, Ive learned so much through the experience and I could probably diagnose problems with any other car I own just because I had so much money put into the car. It got me from point A to point B..."

"I bought this car while I was in college. I paid 7000 and it still runs today. It has amazing gas mileage and really stands up to time, however, don't forget that it is a cheap car and its made to be a cheap car. It's worth the price, but if you're looking for something really nice then you're going to want to pay a little more."

"I bought this car new in '05 as a left over; the only manual on the lot, for $11,200. I desired a manual for longer engine life and replacing a clutch is cheaper than repairing an automatic. The only option it has is a/c. It saved my butt financially in '07 when gas went to $4 a gallon. I have never been back to the dealer for anything and have run synthetic oil and had independent shops service it ahead of schedule (timing belt & struts). It's never broken down and still looks and runs great and i hope it lasts another 8 years. Why am i always asked if i want to sell it??? Best car i have ever owned and i am 53 now. Basic, reliable, no frills. New low end model Dodge Dart with a 2.0 is $17K. I 'll keep it and my money too! KBB value has actually increased in the last 2 years; too bad they stopped making them in '05."
