"Owned my 2000 for 10 years and it has never let me down. Replaced the water pump, timing belt and accessorie belts at 110k and that has been the only major expenditures. Now has 140k and new brakes, tires, battery, spark plugs/coils, etc. It is ready for the next 100k and new owner."

Pros: "Fun to drive"

Cons: "Wouldn't change a thing!"

"Have had this 2004 SXT Intrepid for a bit over 2 years. Paid near $4000 as it was then 8 years old with 72,000 miles. Best car I have ever owned. 3.5L HP engine puts out 250 HP. Power to spare and shifts flawlessly. Handles great for a nice big car. Never had any issues. I change oil every 2500 miles. Its just personal taste but love the styling. Can't say enough about it! Wish they still made em!!"

Pros: "Great suspension, smooth ride, comfy interior"

Cons: "2.7 liter engine is a maintenance nightmare"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"We bought our car new in 2004. According to the reviews, Dodge was supposed to have solved the problems with their 2.7 liter engine. Wrong! The car has been a shop queen from the start. We've had every nightmare problem the 2.7 liter engine is noted for. Worst of all was the water pump, which is installed INSIDE the engine! On the plus side, the car looks good, is comfortable, quiet, and handles like a dream. Buy the 3.2 liter engine if you can - those motors last forever."

Pros: "Excellent value. Has served me well."

Cons: "None really"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought new. Excellent value. Has 104,000 miles. No major issues. Runs and handles great!!! Gets good mileage. Unfortunately, due to back problems it looks like I am going to have to go to a mid-size SUV. I still LOVE my car. Lifetime satellite radio, 6 disc CD. Black with spoiler. Sharp looking and comfortable."

Pros: "Great on Gas, Stops on a dime in emergencies!"

Cons: "Water hose replacement, ( expensive) ouch!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"This is an excellent family car, great comfort, seats six. very large trunk. Such a smooth ride that when your on the freeway you can be going 75-80 miles an hour and not feel it, so you have to keep your eye on the speedometer. Because it has a 6 cylinder engine it has great pick up when you need it. I service my transmission once a year at A-1 Transmission $75.00. On the down side if you have to replace the water hose it can run you some serious money $1500. because they have to pull the engine to get to it."
