"I bought this van a year and a half ago with just 77,000 miles on it. Over all it has been a fairly reliable vehicle. It gives a great ride both in town and on long trips. I do a mix of both short trips and 30+ mile trips every week and my milage averages about 19mpg. On a recent trip from New York to Nebraska and back my over-all mileage was 25mpg. I have had to do some repairs since I have bought it. I have had two calipers seize, an oil pressure sensor replaced, Power steering cooler replaced, EGR valve replaced and tie rods replaced (NYS potholes reek havoc on suspension parts). All but the tie rods I was able to do myself easily and cheap. The only other issue is the rust that is starting to show in all the places a northeast caravan would have."
"My parents bought this in 2005 and it has been a great asset ever since it has rusted alot over the last year but up until then we have no gripes it always starts and runs good buit it did have a bad tranny (Typical Dodge) that costed $600 to replace it. It has the 3.3 liter V-6 and is kind of a slow slug with minimal pick up and go. But chicks don't dig minivans never have never will."
Pros: "Reliable, easy to work on for gen maintenance"
Cons: "15 years old now - rusting"

"Bought this van brand new in 2001. Have had very few problems over the years besides wearables. No issues with 3.8l engine or transmission. Recently replaced the rack and pinion steering as old one was leaking bad. Engine light was on for fuel system leak, replaced the rusted fuel filler neck, and light went away. Body has rusted rocker panels and starting on rear wheel well panels. The car has been great and even though my family is grown up, it is hard to just give away for a lot of the same reasons in other reviews. It is our third vehicle now and will be used as a trainer for my up and coming kid drivers."
Pros: "comfort, promotes activities , ease great views"
Cons: "Cup holders, rear/ up front, music, all speaker"

The automatic open, double sided doors, ensure a smooth transition with little effort for the guests. If camping is on the agenda, the easy-to-remove seats allow space options according to space needs and number of passengers, plus gear. The guests can relax in comfort with leg room as well as rear panel access to make nec changes to their environmental needs,ie.,heat or cooling. Some extras worth noting incl, rear avail plugins for devices,ie., cell phones. Also you will find individual cup holders as well as above head lighting for reading. The bonus feature of rear tinted windows lends an added plus in providing an ideal environment no matter the season, by cooling or heating, dimming light,or preventing glaring of sun , and most importantly, having privacy for passengers adding to their overall comfort."
"This van is good when the miles are low as long as it is properly maintained. The 3.8L V6 is fussy if you don't keep oil changes on time as it may burn a quart up. Electronics are typical to Chryslers of this era with glitches as vehicle builds miles such as starter issues, sliding door wiring etc. Overall, it drives comfortably and handles awesome in winter and keeps the family comfy on long road trips."
"It really is a shame that Chrysler has no quality control. The interior of this van has no comparison. We just replaced it with a 2015 Sienna, but hung on to it as a beater. Even the Sienna still does not have those amazing stow and go seats and therefore has less cargo capacity.
This also has better visibility and handles well.
But that's where the benefits end.
We bought this new in 2007 and now have 115k In that time it needed:
Power steering reservoir,
Power steering pump,
2 power door locks,
Front wheel bearing,
It also burns 1 qt of oil every 1000 miles.
This despite meticulous maintenance.
After my Dodge Ram truck spontaneously set itself on fire, I decided never to buy another Chrysler product. This van confirms that decision.
I am holding on to it until it needs a major repair which I expect any day now.
Wish I had bought the Sienna in '07 it would still have half its life left."
