"Other than regular PMs i have had no serious problems mechanically, or electrical in 13+ yrs. Very Dependable Year Round, has more than enough power for pulling, and does excellent in mountains Up and Down steeps in Winter. Ive drove it in some rough terrains while hunting, does better than any jeep ive ever owned, i'm 68yrs old owned many 4wd"
"This vehicle has a huge interior capacity with 3rd row seating, a roof rack, and a hitch. Throw in a kayak and go for the day! Vehicle has lots of new essential parts and 4 brand new tires! Service records are available. There is some typical wear and tear for a vehicle this age but it is solid like they used to make them!"
Cons: "Best gas mileage with the 360 I can get is 16.5"

"Very darn great vehicle. LOVE mine. Dodge did very good with design, power, handling, 4 wheel drive capabilities. These vehicles are a super buy, however they do like to stop at gas stations. But a good trade for the comfort and piece of mind they give!"
"AT FIRST I WAS SKEPTIC ABOUT BUYING THIS DURANGO BUT MY HUSBAND REALLY LIKED IT SO WE FINALLY AGREED TO PURCHASE IT. I AM SO GLAD HE RECOMMENDED THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST CAR THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED. IT IS 15 YEARS OLD AND I STILL HAVE IT. I AM POSSIBLY GETTING READY TO SELL IT JUST BECAUSE HE MADE ME GET A NEW VEHICLE BECAUSE THE DURANGO HAD SO MANY MILES ON IT AND I USE IT ALOT TO TRAVEL. I STILL DRIVE THIS DURANGO WHENEVER POSSIBLE BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE THIS VEHICLE THAN THE NEW ONE WE PURCHASED. 2001 DURANGO YOU HAVE AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE VEHICLE OF ALL TIMES."
Pros: "Fun to drive. Looks good. Roomy! Feel safe inside."
Cons: "Poor gas mileage."

"I purchased by Durango brand new in 1999 in the USA. I have been meticulous in taking care of it. It had been with me when I was stationed in Thailand and it had been with me in the West Africa where I reside at present. (I am departing here in September 2015)
I have used it to pull heavy loads such as cars, U-Haul storage units and even a large van with a car full of people over and through the mountains from North Carolina to West Virginia to Wisconsin and back to North Carolina. No problems.
The exterior still shines new. There are a few places on the hood where it could use a paint job but it is not noticeable.
The grey leather interior is clean and looks new. Only the drivers seat has a small tear in it and it was caused by my teenage daughter.
It runs like a champ. The engine is strong and smooth running. Not noisy at all. The transmission is smooth as well.
Problems since I owned it:
1. Heater stopped working. It was fixed by a heater core flush.
2. Transmission pump leaked. Replaced transmission pump.
3. ABS and break light comes on. I will get this fixed next month when the Durango arrives in the USA from Africa.
4. Ball joints are bad. I will replace next month.
5. Needs new leaf springs.
6. Serpentine belt broke. (Replaced)
7. Hatchback struts need to be replaced.
I will have it winterized and buy four new tires. I am keeping it! And, it is paid for!"
