"I can't understand why they discontinued this model. The club cab is perfect for carrying/stowing tools and equipment, and is much more convenient and efficient than the full four-door pickups. At the time I purchased, it was the best bet for towing among the major brand compact pickups. A totally satisfactory truck, despite a few substantial repairs, but hey, its 10 years old."
Pros: "Very dependable, beautiful color and comfortable o"
Cons: "Bent rear bumper, cloth seats need cleaning"

"Bought new on October, 2005. I am original owner. Low miles, added backup camera, OnStar after market system, has satellite radio, bed liner, lockable hard tonneau cover and running boards and Remote start. New Michelin tires. Have always used synthetic oil and changed filter with every oil change. No mechanical problems. Rear bumper is bent on passenger side."
"I bought this vehicle with low miles thinking it would last me a while. Once i started driving more and more rattles started appearing i spent 2500 dollars trying to fix the rattle and it never truely went away. the parts are super cheap and wear out quickly. i do not reccomend buying this vehicle."
"bought my 2005 Dakota Laramie club cab with the HO 4.7L V8 half a year ago and have since been using it daily on the farm, around town, and traveling the country. other than a few annoying computer glitches that have cost me a few days in the shop, its a very mechanically reliable and all around excellent truck. very good towing capabilities and it can take off like a lot of bigger trucks cant. my only issue with it is the computer that runs it but again it is a very reliable, fun and practical truck. hasn't let me down once."
