"owned since 2001. Never left me stranded. A couple batteries over the years, oil changes at 3000 miles and other regular maintenance. Bullet proof truck, basic in design and reliable as the day is long. he don't make them like this anymore. Plan to leave to the kids when I'm gone as I suspect it will outlast me."

Love this old truck no troubles.

Cons: "none"

"Have had truck since 1998. Had 125000 and now has 738000. Never worked on the Cummins 5.9, original clutch, Had front end rebuilt at 700000 and still driving for everyday. Only looks a little worse for wear. But 23 avg. cant be beat."

"I bought my 93 D250 in 2001 with 12700 miles on it. The truck now has over 24600 miles on it. The Cummins diesel engine, transmission (other than a speed sensor) and front end have never given me any trouble. Had to have the steering box rebuilt. Both door hinges had to be re-welded on to the truck, the cruise resume stopped working (cruise still works)and power mirrors don't move in all directions. Otherwise just regular maintenence. This vehicle has been awesome. 18 avg. mpg and 20 hwy."

The best vehicle I have ever owned.

Pros: "Reliability, capability, fuel efficency"

Cons: "No creacher comforts, but it is afterall a truck"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have 2 of them, Sad that KBB rates them so poorly. The most reliable and fuel efficient diesel trucks I've ever owned. One has 300,000 miles on it with only routine maintenance. These trucks in my area sell for and average of $7500, not $1800 like KBB suggests. These trucks were made to be tough work trucks and they are. Kept simple for reliability sake, there is little to leave you at the side of the road unlike the newer "electronics" driven version."

"Basic in design. Keeps running and running and running. Nothing to go wrong with it. Dependable. Cost me $1000. Will run for another 10 years. Equates to $100 a year less repairs if required. Better then spending $35,000-$60,000 on a new truck."
