Pros: "I really like driving it. it's very comfortable"

"It has a factory hitch. And I used it to haul our various boats. It has some rust on the lower sliders doors, also has an exhaust leak and leaks a little oil. Just shy of 151,000 miles. She still runs great and has fairly new tires. Interior is still in good shape no tears in the seats, a little dirty from regular use. Headliner is starting to come loose above visors but other then that the headliner is in great shape."

Pros: "Very comfortable front seats."

Cons: "Has very few options on this basic model."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"...and it is still running with minimal maintenance, Oil, Tires, Tunes ups (twice) and thats it! No major expenses in this car other than a paint job because my wife was tired of the blue color (she painted it black). The AC will still freeze you out on maximum cool during an "Alabama August" sticky heat. In the winter,it heats up fast after a cold start, usually by the time youve driven 1/2 to 1 mile. The rear side windows don't work anymore but we rarely used them anyway. Right front speaker does not work anymore. Door ajar light stays on. Brake light comes on in cold weather some times. I wanted to trade up several years ago and my wife could not find a car seat that was as comfortable as the Dodge so we still have it. I hope the newer Dodge Caravans still have the great ride. This car has been all over the country with our three kids (now grown) and still gets about 24 to 26 MPG on the highway."

Pros: "Good value, roomy, no major repairs in 17 yrs"

Cons: "None that I can think of"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought my Caravan 17 years ago, when my son was 18 months old. It had everything I wanted, including air bags, tinted windows, power windows and mirrors, anti-lock brakes, K-9 alarm system, sliding doors on both sides, cruise, fold down/removable rear bench seats, and an easy transition from driving a small vehicle. I've kept up with regular maintenance (regular oil changes, a/c recharge, etc) and only very recently had to replace struts, window motors, water pump, radiator hoses, and transmission fluid pan seal. Considering the age of my van, I'm quite pleased that I have had no major, costly repairs, and the few mentioned above I was able to buy the parts and do all of the labor with the help of a friend. Gas mileage is much better than the specs. I will keep my van as long as I possibly can, and if the day comes that I must replace it, I hope that I can replace it with a new Dodge Caravan."

Pros: "Great people hauler"

Cons: "Too prone to severe rusting"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6

"The biggest problem with these vans is rusting. They all seem to rust in the same areas; rear rocker panels, sliding doors, rear wheel wells and strut towers. The only major repair I have had to do to this van was overhauling the transmission. If you can find one that is rust free, buy it. Try to find models with the Stow 'N Go seating, they make great vacation transportation."

Pros: "great freeway mileage for those long trips."

Cons: "need a bit more head room and leg room"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have hauled, pulled, slept and sat many a day in my Dodge Caravan. I have recently traveled to Pocatello, Idaho and to Green River, Wyoming. I am really impressed with the mileage I got going with the wind turbulence. When I seen that I was getting 572 miles per the tank on the freeway oh how could I not be impressed. That is 35.75 MPG. This is the best van yet for long distance loaded going with the wind. It took only 1 full and two half fill ups to get to Pocatello,ID and from there not even a full tank to go farther on to Green River, WY. The only thing I had recently done before I left Port Orchard, WA was to buy two new tires on the rear (the front had two new tires from in June) and change the oil. I added turbo charge at each fill up. It did not overheat or burn any oil on this trip. I have owned this vehicle for three years I have yet to change the plugs now after a trip like this I should do that as well as change the wires and oil again. Way to go Dodge what a great thing you have done to the way people drive..now lets talk about rolling on..."
