"surprisingly reliable and extremely inexpensive. 28 mpg. The car was a great find, exceptionally well appointed for an economy priced car. It's comfortable and handles very well. We've loved driving it"

Pros: "Great price, tough little bugger."

Cons: "Difficulty finding parts."

"This isn't bad little car. My mother got it in 2005 for $3000. She's terrible at keeping up with maintenance and it still survived her. During the three years she drove it as the family car, it had only one big issue and it was caused by bad gas. After three years, she bought a different car and the Daewoo went to my brother who thought it was a sports car (really, a wagon?) and shredded the control arms and tires. Once the front lower arms went out he abandoned it for a year in the back yard until I was old enough to drive, then worked to fix it back up. I've been driving it for almost three years now and I love it even with its weird issues. The A/C is out and I haven't had the money to fix it, it's got issues with the control arms, and some odd electrical issues that don't effect performance (flickering of dash lights, the power locks are finicky, and the power button doesn't work). I get 26 MPG in town average and mid-30s on the highway. I'd recommend this to a single person who needs a fairly dependable daily driver."
