"I bought this car used at the beginning of 2015. It hit 154,000 miles and the engine just simply shut off and wouldn't restart. I had it towed into the shop. It turns out the timing chain tensioners were both toast. Also, a water pump gear broke off and shattered and went down into the bottom of the motor. Cost to fix 1600. Not worth it for a car that's worth 1600. I guess you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend staying away from the Dodge 2.7 Litre V6. They are know for having this exact issue."

"Had to replace the engine 2 years after I bought this car. Now, 3 years later, it throws a rod. Check engine light was always on but was told nothing was wrong. Oil light was always on but was told nothing was wrong. Back windows stopped working a year in. A lot of weight electrical issues. Just avoid if you can."
"I purchased this car when it was only a year old. This was a great car no major problems or issues until... just under 80,000 miles. Ever since then the car has been in and out of the shop for major repairs every 2-3 months. Just as you think every thing is fixed something else goes...400 here, 800 there...ball bearings, radiator, control arms etc. Until one day without warning the engine blows out. I am one of those people that does the recommended maintenance and regular oil changes like you should so, the car was very well cared for. 15 days after its inspection the car stalled once. I checked the fluids and it was low on antifreeze, I filled the anti freeze and dove it straight to my mechanic just to find out the engine was about to blow. it had a cracked manifold and antifreeze started mixing with the oil. It needed a new engine which with this car would be a gamble given all the problems it has and that they are notorious for blowing out their engines. This car should be avoided especially with high miles as the engines blow out without warrning."

"This car is a money pit, I have spent over $1500.00 in repairs and still needed the top, convertible, replace (Back window seam broke loose). Just when I thought I fixed everything, the motor gave out. Lost of $2500.00 invested. Never own a Sebring again!"
"This car would be extremely awesome if I didn't have so much problems with this car.
In the same year I bought this car, I had to replace my coolant reservoir. The little top tube that sticks out the reservoir so that the hose can connect had chipped off. I have replaced 3 reservoirs total while owning this car. This car had electrical issues happening continuously since my 1st year owning it. I have replaced the car computer at under 140K I think. I have also replaced the computer for the transmission (which I never knew it had a CPU) because it had problems switching gears. My convertible top stop working at around 170K with seldom usage. I had replaced many parts for my car because they were wearing out.. wheel bearings, cv joints, I welded my oil pan because of oil leaks, replaced an alternator, new oil pump, new water pump, new timing chain, control arms... so many things my people.
I didn't know if this was all a process of mainlining a high mileage car or go what other people said.. "Chrysler is nothing but problems".
I don't know if that term still applies to their newer models, but I really wish my car would stop giving me a hard time, at least be at peace for 1 year. Me just worrying about oil changes..what a dream!! huffff!"
