"The car still does not use any oil between changes every 5000 miles. Has an almost new set of tires on the car. My son has driven this car since it had 20k miles on it. No wrecks, no tickets. Already replaced brakes. Needs work on the transmission which is the original. Front driver power seat is usable but not operative. Radio is fine. 4 wheel drive is fine. Has trailer hitch. Seats are fine."
Pros: "great utility for a small SUV with plenty of power"
Cons: "in town gas millage"

"Bought it a year old, drove it from CA to MN while pulling a car through the rocky mountains. Handled great have pulled quads, snowmobiles, and watercraft no issues. Drove through snow and ice undeterred. I put over 115,000 in the 8.5 years I have owned it living in MN, CO, CA. I would still have it, if some idiot in the fog hadn't totaled it. Never had any mechanical issues with it. I wish GM still made the trailblazer and offered the 4.2L I6 engine in either the Acadia or Traverse."
"This vehicle is a great SUV for family, recreation and work. Large trunk space and plenty of room for passengers. Towing capabilities are average for an SUV. Will tow a small trailer with a couple fourwheelers or snowmobiles, but you definitely know it's behind you because of the greater acceleration times and braking distances. Fuel economy is so-so with my personal average mpg around 16.5-17.5, but on a long trip you can squeeze around 450+ miles out of a tank of gas. Performance is not the greatest with the 4.2L L6 putting out only 235hp, it takes a little time getting up to highway speeds (0-60 in about 9 seconds), but does get the jobs done. Modifications are few and far between with the most common performance mods available being cold-air intakes, plug-n-play electronics and exhaust systems. Personally the best thing you can add to this vehicle would be a K&N filter. For me this didn't add power, but I do get better throttle response and about 15% better mpg than stock. 4x4 is okay as well. It definitely makes a difference in the tires you put on. General all season tires get the job done in a few inches of snow, but you'll be stranded if you try driving through 7"+. One plus side to the 4x4 is there is little to no noise from the transfer case or front differential. In 4x4 or 2x4, this SUV is a very nice and quiet ride. My Trailblazer has been very reliable so far with no major repairs needed, just the regular maintenance. As far as working on this vehicle, there's more access to common engine parts under the hood and to the steering, suspension, brakes and hub/bearings compared to my previously owned vehicles and they're fairly simple to change. Overall I give this vehicle a 7/10 rating for being a good quality SUV that's comfortable and reliable."
"Bought this Certified with <5k miles 4 years ago from a local dealer for a very good price of 17k. Now approaching 20k miles on the engine. Definitely a nice "truck" ride with good pickup, very good handling overall and really decent layout, lots of room when you put the rear seats down. Overall very happy so far. Between oil changes just had to change out the TPMS sensors on 2 tires. Continue to treat the trim to make them more weather resistant and blacker in appearance. Recently cleaned up the headlights with a restore kit. Added and aftermarket head unit and speakers as the stock stuff just was not that good. Really good car IMHO, overall a solid 8. Also, just started using Lucas Fuel Treatment, seems to have improved my mpg just a bit...now get just over 20 mpg combined, not bad for SE FL driving with AC almost in use most of the year. Maybe I got lucky but lots of Home Depot runs show it is a good car but you definitely need to maintain it like any."
Cons: "NONE YET BUT I DO WISH WE GOT AN 8 CYL OVER A 6"

"WE RECENTLY BOUGHT A VERY NICE USED 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 4X4, WELL WE GOT A GOOD ONE! ONE OWNER WHO SHOWED IT MUCH LUV & TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF IT, WHICH I THANK THEM FOR CUZ IT RUNS & DRIVES LIKE ALMOST NEW, STARTS UP WITH BARELY A TURN OF THE KEY & THE INSIDE IS VERY CLEAN TOO...BUT BESIDE ALL THAT IT HAS A SMOOTH RIDE & WE HEAR NOTHING OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD INSIDE & THERE'S ALOT OF LEGROOM IN THE FRONT & BACK, NOT THAT I'M TALL (5'6") BUT MY 6'1" SON CAN RIDE & DRIVE IT COMFORTABLY."
"This was my first SUV, and drove it around a lot. I drove up North towards Oregan twice, and to Vegas a couple of times. Very spacious for taking camping gear. Loved this car, but ready to sell soon."
