Pros: "Great gas mileage, fun to drive, handles well"

Cons: "smaller suv, can't take large loads in the back ar"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Runs great and has given me no major problems. New tires and battery and brakes in 2013 (over $1,000 in cost), new alternator and belt in Nov. 2014 (over $1,000 in cost), and muffler last year. Really dependable and fun to drive. It does need a new paint job and has a small dent in the front fender."

Pros: "economical, good 4wd snowbuster, good visibility."

Cons: "winds & trucks affect the stability on the hiway."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"2001, 4 cyl, 4wd, bought new and has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned ( maybe 30 cars total). one set of brakes replaced, two batteries, one set of tires replaced. Other than normal oil and gearbox fluid changes, ignition assy went bad. That's it. It's not a good highway car, too light and tall, but for the city and short hiway runs, terrific. Four w/d in snow is fabulous and this little truck has a full truck frame, not unibody, it's solid. If they still made them, I'd buy another. Truly a value, now it goes to my son who wants it. I hate to part with it,,,but family takes precedence. I've been very impressed with this car. Had several people try to buy it from me because they are familiar with them. Cheaper than a jeep, and more comfortable."

Pros: "Great in snow. Reliable. Solid build. Versatile."

Cons: "Seats weren't comfy."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Simply put, I loved this vehicle. It was fantastic in our Michigan winters, and never once left me stuck or stranded. When all my friends were quarantined by the snow, I was driving like it was a regular day. 4x4 worked like a charm. And boy was it fun! It wasn't the most comfortable for long trips, but 5 of us fit inside and survived a couple of 4-8 hour mini-road trips together. Camping was a blast in this. With a cargo carrier on the roof rack, and an over-the-spare bike rack on the back, we took just as much stuff with us as our friends who brought a minivan. The MPG wasn't amazing, but it was better than all my friends who have SUVs. On long, highway-bound road trips, it'd get around 25 mpg. At 185,000 the engine and automatic transmission were still working perfectly, and not showing any signs of problems. It's actually a Suzuki Grand Vitara on the inside, so it'll go longer than most Chevys will. I really miss my Tracker, and was VERY sad to trade it in, but my job changed and I needed something smaller and better on gas. Whoever gets it next will be driving it for a LOOOOONG time."
