"I bought this new in 2002. I love it today like I did when I bought it. It is very comfortable and handles well . I always feel safe while driving on snow and ice (you have to drive safe of course)."

Pros: "Love the power, Reliable!"

Cons: "Gas Milage, No Trunk space"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"For me this car is super valuable to get me where I want to be with the stuff i need. It is no sports car, but it has power. Same engine as the suburban, but lighter. its pretty touchy for an SUV. Acceleration, not a problem. I almost always have the backseats out for the large extra trunk space, since on the downside, it has none. It has had one owner and a lot of milage, but very reliable almost never been in for repairs, just oil changes. The interior leather has worn a degree, but a lot of that is just natural. The paint job is in great condition. I drive at high speeds often and it performs well, except that it corners quite badly, but that is expected. It is also quite comfortable to drive for long hours, but sadly the sound system's base, located in the back, is well, if to much is required of it, fails miserably. Overall I am very glad to have the car."

Pros: "Roomy, smooth drive, paint/body have held up,"

Cons: "needs some repairs due to age"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"It has been a fantastic vehicle and has done everything that I could expect it to do for my family. I fell in love with it the moment I took it for a test drive and have continued to love it all these years! I knew that it was going to last us for a long time. It has required very few repairs with the exception of regular maintenance. Unfortunately, it has begun to show its age by needing more repairs than I am willing to put into an aging vehicle - namely, a new rear-end. With the right person, with the right know-how, who can give it the TLC it needs it can continue to be a great truck for someone else. It also has an automatic car starter, which is an awesome feature in all kinds of weather! I leave the climate control set, start the truck from my home or coming out of a building and it is comfortable when I get in!!"

Pros: "family hauler, dependable, reliable and fun"

Cons: "MPG when gas is High lol"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought this vehicle from a family member and I'm the second owner but its been great. No mechanical problems only usual minor replacements parts that wear out and I did them myself and I'm not a mechanic. Great AC no problem at all. I do my own oil change and it runs and drive like a champ. Its a 4x2 but on snow it handles awesome just keep it with Michelin tires the best. It has 350k + miles and it drives like the day it was bought. The original pait look great and still shines people ask me if ive painted it and nope i have not. I just have it buffed a couple of time in the year. Interior has minor wear. I ve driven it to the northeast, northwest and south. Hauling trailor, boat or moble no problem transmition is still pulling hard. I recomend this car. Too bad they dont make them like this anymore. keeping mine for many year to come."

Pros: "Value, Reliability and toughness"

Cons: "Mileage, some modern amenities"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have owned 3 Chevy Tahoes 1999-2000. Everyone of them loaded with leather and all the conveniences of the day they were made. This truck is a beast. It is large and comfortable on the inside. You won't win any races in it but that's not what it's about. The back is spacious. The ride is high and comfortable. I have bought one of them new and 2 of them used. As a used vehicle today you'll get them cheap. You'll get 10-12 mpg in mixed driving. After 150,000 you'll need spark plugs. That's it up until about 250,000 and you'll need a transmission. It is a very reliable vehicle that will not cost you anything in repairs of any concern. At 230K miles start looking for another one. It will be the most reliable cheap car to own. The gas mileage is poor but the upkeep is nil. Living in Connecticut and driven through some horrendous blizzard conditions this vehicle never even slowed down."

Pros: "Easy to park, handles nice. Love sitting up high."

Cons: "doesn't last forever ): lol"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Have had this 2001 Chevy Tahoe for 14 years! Love it! The underneath has started to rust due to the extreme weather in Maine- salt on the roads. Greatest pain was the front power windows- had to replace the drivers side twice but not until the last 2 years. Replaced the usual wear and tear stuff. Still runs great! Nice ride -roomy love that the seats fold down and I can throw my kayak in. Also awesome for camping. Mine has the barn doors, which I love! Tried out the 2016's not the same. Smaller not as roomy. I could never afford one anyway. Bought a 2015 F150. I am told I will love this too! (:"
