"This truck runs great and gets very good fuel mileage considering mines putting out 450 hp and 750 pds tq. I can pull just about anything I want with it. The lb7 engine is the best Diesel engine Chevrolet has put out in my opinion. If you buy one I don't believe you'll be disappointed."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 180,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "will absolutely scare you from 0-60 mph"
Cons: "always use 100% gasoline; MILEAGE, MILEAGE, MILEAG"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"My Silverado has been a dream; the only nightmare is the fuel economy in stop-and-go driving. If you want to calculate the mileage of the 6.0 vortec, think of the hour meter on a tractor. It's similar to that. She gets approximately the same gallons per minute of use, regardless if you are doing 75mph on the freeway or 7.5mph on a dirt road. Other than that I highly recommend the Chevy Silverado 2500 with towing package."

"great truck love it. the fuel pump went out at 100,000 miles. expensive hard fix bad design there, and plastic clips for tailgate handle brake easy and have to brake the cover to get it off bad design there too.; other than that gret truck"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 112,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "quality,comfort,reliability,value"
Cons: "tire wear,mileage when towing"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought this truck used with 63,000 miles on it in excellent condition. I have since doubled that. I have done lots of hauling, towing and plowing. this truck has served double duty as my work truck and family vehicle. it has required minimal repairs and has been very reliable. I had to replace the fuel pump at 101,000 and that has been the most expensive single repair. brake wear has been good as well as moving/suspension part wear. fuel milage is ok for a vehicle of this type but tire wear seems to be worse than my previous truck. all in all I am very pleased with it. although my next one will probably be a diesel for towing milage alone"
