"Bought new in 2004, never been in the shop for maintenance other than the fluids. every thing on this vehicle is original, even the disc brake pads. it has a chip and KN filter. the 6.0 engine is as clean as the day i bought the truck. it has the 20" chrome Chevy wheels with top of the line Michelin tires. it also has a 3" exhaust with a 36" flow-master muffler.
this truck is quick and sound. the engine just purrs whether your at 1500 rpm or 3000 rpm and the ride is very comfortable. the interior is as good as new. people have seen this truck and ask me if i just got a new truck. It would break my heart to sell this truck to someone that wouldn't appreciate it. I may keep it for the grandkids, or make a show truck out of it."
Pros: "reliable very few repairs needed out side of routi"
Cons: "breaks and antilock system, rocker panels rusted o"

"Reliable and low TCoO, But rusty
tires twice approx 90k miles each
brakes... several times
battery 10 years
spark plugs at 190k miles
both ti rod ends
both inner sockets
fuel pump, twice
it still runs and drives great but the rusted out rocker panels made me decide to upgrade."
"My 2004 Silverado 1500 LS was a great machine. I hated to part with it but it wasn't compatible to where I was going at the time. Kept up on maintenance, added some things I personally wanted. Only problem was the recall that caused the air conditioning to blow hot air. Dealer fix. Dependable, good looking, good cargo room, good front seat area room."
"This truck is a nice truck. It has a custom chrome grill. Also a heavy duty cap on it that matches the paint on the truck. Only rust under it, and the body has only 2 minor scratches on it. Never had to put serious money into it, just had all new brakes put on and in the front, it also had new ball barings."
