I own this car - My approximate mileage is 7,500
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Styling, power train"
Cons: "Lack of conveniences, cheapened out on tires"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"Have a '12 LTZ extcab like the truck but a lot of little features missing for a 46,000 vehicle: coin holder, underhood light, lack of storage, quality tires,(goodyear eagle ls2 are bottom of barrel comparable fords com w/ michellin or pirellies)case for manuals. truck drives looks great but think chevy's flagship p/u shouldn't be cheapened by omitting small conviences. sounds silly but when u live w/ a vehicle day in day out things that r common in much less expensive vehicles are expected in one that lists in the mid 40's"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 42,000
overall rating 7 of 10rating detailsPros: "Styling"
Cons: "Interior, brake problems"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"Not a bad truck, but it could use a little more low-end torque and a better interior. If you've owned trucks before, you'll know they all love gas...Barely 15 mpg out of this thing in mixed driving. Haven't had any major problem with the truck, but I've had some squealing and brake dragging that keeps returning. Truck's mechanically solid overall."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 47,500
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Was a good deal at the time with the rebates offer"
Cons: "Bad Transmission and bad tires"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 3
"Similar to what I've read about this truck, I too am having transmission issues the dealer seems to be in denial over. The issue is usually in 2nd or higher gear, with any type of load. Simply driving 25mph up an incline or hill, the truck will shudder. I actually got the dealership to admit they could feel it, but would do nothing about it since there were no error codes and the gauges were reading fine. Other than that, the MPG is less than advertised and the BF Goodrich tires it came with are absolute junk. I like the interior, seats, and easy to use controls."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Active Fuel Mgt cycling was VERY noticeable and annoying... GM couldn't solve my concerns. - My approximate mileage is 4,100
Pros: "Great on highway over 70 mph."
Cons: "Active Fuel Mgt is annoying and VERY noticeable!"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"Got a great deal but after driving a while I noticed the fuel management would cycle to 4 cyl and then go right back to 8 cyl mode. Underpowered in 4 cyl - I would guess the power curve is not programmed properly in engine computer software. Most noticeable at around 55-65 mph. GM says it is a "normal operational characteristic of the vehicle". Also noticed high pitched "electronic" squeal from dash area. GM said "normal operational characteristic of the vehicle". Truck was pretty stiff for a 2WD 1/2 ton until you get it on the open road. Then things soften up. Quiet ride and good on highway as long as you were going over 70 mph. Slower and you really notice the cycling of the fuel management. Feels like a downshift going into 4 cyl mode. Lurches when 8 cyl kicks back in. GM said (paraphrasing) thats the way we built it... Just bought an Avalanche and it doesn't have the issues. Take a long test drive if you really want the Silverado so you know what to expect."
