I own this car - My approximate mileage is 130,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "fun to drive, great leg room, good gas mileage"
Cons: "not a smooth ride"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought this car 5 years ago because my son was too tall to sit in the mini van. He is 18 now and is 6' 5" and fits in the back seat. Was Comfortably until this last year, the upper body grew, head room not as plentiful as leg room. Finding a car that is not an SUV was difficult given the size of my boys, my husband was in and out of many cars and was hitting his head in the back, (husband is 6' 2") Mini Vans did not accomodate the long legs in the family, I love minivans and the family friendly options, when I found Malibu Maxx's had adjustable back seats and a video system for long trips, I was a happy girl. My one and only complaint is that compared to the husbands buick the ride is a little rough, new shocks helped this year but still not great. We have taken this car to Yellowstone, the Black Hills, many other trips over 400 miles. Never had a serious problem with it, now that everyone is bigger a little more room would be nice, we can not fit a third person in the back not enough shoulder room. If you have a lead foot like me, be careful this baby goes. I love driving this car a little too much. Would buy it again given the chance, Chevorlet never should have stopped making these."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Didn't sell it. It got totaled. - My approximate mileage is 90,000
Pros: "Can take a beating, easy to change oil, etc"
Cons: "No AUX port,"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This was my first car that I ever bought back in 2008. Over all I loved it; great mileage, wonderful ride, plenty of room both in the trunk and the cab. Even changing the oil, filter, battery, etc was so easy I thought I was doing it wrong. It was a great, dependable car. I give this car a high rating overall because my trunk met the cab in an accident. The car was totaled beyond all repair but my boyfriend was able to walk away from the accident with no problems at all. Overall? Love, love, LOVE this car."

"This car was bought to tow behind an RV. It is great! Easy to set up. Has the complete set up including tow bar, ready to hook up and roll! Sold RV - needed a van for ease of entry and exit. This would be a great car for someone needing a "toad"!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 95,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "Great to drive, good pick-up, tough"
Cons: "weird brake thing,"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Its not a fancy car or a flashy car, I really love it. It has alot of get up and go. It always starts, very little maintaince so far, just the oil. It does have something goofy going on with the brake system, noone seems to be able to figure out what. It hasnt been dangerous or make me feel like the brakes are going out, they work great almost always. Once in a while it does something goofy, thats all. I cant even really put a reason why I am so crazy about this car, just the entire car together. Lots of room for stuff. Comfortable, drives really well. Tough really tough little car. Maybe that is the best way to explain it."

"The Malibu Maxx has been a very reliable and handy vehicle. I have hauled 12' lumber and have used it to take vacations(with bikes on back). The vehicle has a really nice ride and doesn't tire you out. Gas mileage has been consistently above 30 mpg on the highway. Cheap to insure and didn't break the bank to purchase. A real good value. Runs great at 117K."
