"Overall complete summary of 2005 Chevrolet Malibu best value for reliable transportion. Have had very minor issues, just normal wear and tear. Excellent on gas milage, always ensure a qualified mechanic services this vehicle every 3,000-5,000 miles."
Pros: "Inexpensive, peppy, good highway mpg & features"
Cons: "Noisy and engine oil leaks after 100K miles"

"Enjoyed nice trip computer with good menu, adjustable accelerator pedal, ABS, telescoping steering wheel, peppy 3.5L V6 and 30+ mph on the highway.
Dislikes: a bit of road noise and engine oil leaks developed after 100K + miles from numerous places."
"Purchased new in 2005 and driven every day. It has never left me stranded and has only normal wear items replaced. The V6 has plenty of power and the car handles well in summer as well as winter. It is the best car I have owned and I have owned plenty over 40 years of car ownership."
Cons: "Could have rear wipers (the 2005 model has them)."

"I bought this car with several purposes in mind. Hauling children around to various events and taking trips. The back seat has adjustable seats with hand bars that were outstanding in helping my elderly mother get in and out of the car. She also needed to sit up straight so the movable seats worked in that capacity. The hatchback is wonderful because I am able to haul all sorts of things plus it is set up to covert into a tailgate table with a plug in the back for cooking food or keeping it hot. On Star is a great safety feature too. Needless to say I love this car and wish they still made the Max."
"this vehicle has many issues. if there was ever a car that needed redesign, this was it. there are many little issues, including but not limited to, sun visors falling off, paint bubbling by the trunk, door locks breaking."
