"got this car from a older gentleman when he needed a larger vehicle traveling 10 years ago its been a really dependable automobile. I have a ice cold a/c, electric seats, windows, cruise control, doors and security system. The Lumina drives like a tank its comfort in a six passenger seating and have plenty of pep left in engine it gives this vehicle excellent acceleration while she purrs like a cat. I have had trouble out the car but so far the transmission and motor seem to be in good running condition spent money on repairs which were expensive but love my car and how it rides. For 18 years old the Lumina paint hasn't rusted yet looks good and I use Armor All to keep exterior looking shining it has dents and scratches...Overall still serving me up/down the streets use it for a work car. Daytime running lights still works and gas mileage on my Lumina is 24 miles per gallon let it run cheaper non brand octane she does a great job on fuel. This vehicle is my life as use it for work, store, transporting family and driving to church even have for maintenance car as the trunk is bigger for my weed eater when cutting different yards and landscaping for a business. I love my Lumina I thank God everyday for this nice large car on serving me so well driving on the highways and has lots of great engine performance when driving in the city since live outskirts of town. Never get rid of car although have spent few expensive repairs on it she won't let me down going very strong as have mechanics saying it last another 10,000 miles without a complete tune up never done before always have it well maintained because its my commute car driving up/down the highways everything is in good working condition."

Good, until everything goes bad.

"Pros: The car is a tank, two front end collisions and she still runs. It's roomy, lots of space. Cons: 3.1 Engine stalls, prone to have an engine knock which will take your cars life. Paint chips very easily."

Pros: "Great price for the value"

Cons: "minimal engine repair/maintenance needed"

"Car is in good to very good condition. Original owner cannot drive anymore, so the vehicle is no longer needed. Engine is strong, but probably needs a valve cover gasket replacement. The AC could use a recharge. Other than that, it rides and looks nice!!! Selling for $2,200.00...well below the KBB value of $3,000.00."

This car has been a very good car.

"I like this car, it has really been a good car but I have physical problems with getting in and out, I need something higher so I can get in and out easier, this is the reason I am looking for another car, if it wasn't for that I would keep my car, like I said it is a good car and has been taken good care of."

Pros: "Comfortable, Roomy, great on gas,"

Cons: "No cups holders just 1 in the center console"

"This car was used when we bought it from the dealer, it was a Demo Car so had a few miles on it but not much, at first Like in the other Review's that I have read here it gave us a few little problems but not bad. Like stalling out when you stopped at a light or sign, but that was minor was just alittle senor and got that corrected was part of the security for car was really cheap to fix. But did have problems with the engine thou, needed to be replaced so they did that and ever since then its been a great car and still have it, takes me where ever I wanna go, back and forth from Va. alot too visit family no problems at all just the normal things you have too do with any car ! Its a daily car for us, its comfortable, good on gas, interior getting alittle worn but hey that comes with keeping a good car so long and we love Chevy's, Love the room in the car, big trunk, holds alot of stuff, thinking about selling it thou it's time but still keeping it till that happens !!"

Pros: "roomy, decent amount of horse power"

Cons: "not easy to fix or maintain, not very attractive"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4

"I was given this car to me from my dad and when I started driving it I thought it was junk, but I slowly began to like it. It was an excellent snow car as far as sedans go and it was fairly comfortable and roomy. The cosmetics of the car are not impressive, period. All together it was a fairly awkward design. It was equipped with a 3.1l v6 engine which was very nice to have the get up and go when needed. I hardly had any issues with the vehicle for probably a year and a half roughly, but once I started having problems it kept having problems. The last thing that broke on it the auto shop fixed the wrong problem(costing me 279$ for a part that I did not need, when the vehicle shut itself off it did not hold the diagnostic code like it should have) because in my experience with this brand of vehicles, they are not easy to maintain (ex. the battery is placed underneath the wiper fluid reservoir. that ridiculous if you need to get to it quickly.) anyways, after I found the problem and fixed it (3 mos. later) I drove it for 2 days and it broke again with another problem. It is a good car to own as long as you have the time and money to put into getting fixed correctly when things go wrong."
