The Cobalt receives only minor changes for 2010. More equipment has been added to the MY LINK package, while a power sunroof and performance display are made standard on SS trims.
For 2009 the Cobalt has a number of improvements. They include a revised 2.2-liter Ecotec engine delivering more power and better fuel economy, 15-inch low-rolling-resistance tires, a USB port added to the radio, standard OnStar and available Bluetooth phone connectivity, new 15- and 16-inch wheel options and a tire inflation kit as standard equipment. The Sport trim and 2.4-liter engine have been dropped.
Soaring fuel costs have changed the face of the compact car customer. First-time buyers and budget-conscious consumers are no longer the only market for small carsSUV drivers looking for an economical second car are also flooding showrooms. But these people have a bit more cash on hand and, although they want something that's good on gas, they don't want bare-bones transportation. Enter the Chevrolet Cobalt, an attractive small car with a bit more size, style and equipment than its entry-level competitors, but with a reasonable price tag and good gas mileage. Available as either a coupe or sedan, the Cobalt is definitely worth a test drive.

"The comfort and ride/handling has been a real surpise. The fuel mileage is excellent, averaging 33+mpg for my 44 mile daily commute with one passenger. The fit, finish and accessories can't be beat, for the price, in my book. Overall, this is one great car and a pleasant surprise up to this point"

"It's funny, I was reading an article last month in Scientific American about the future of the internal combustion engine. It said that in the FUTURE, to maximize Horsepower and minimize fuel consumption, there were 5 revolutionary concepts that must be brought into production. As I read on, my eyes bulged when I realized that the car I had just bought, a $20K Cobalt SS had three of the five "innovations" already! Variable valve timing, direct injection and turbocharged, this car has a world-class motor and sporty interior that make other car owners jealous. And this car goes! Not just in a straight line either, this car was suspension tuned on the famous Nurburdring in Germany to weave quickly thru corners. 0-60 in 5.5 and 37 mpg on the highway. A price that can't be matched for the performance. Cobalt SS turbo = the easy choice for sporty performance."
