"Loved this car!! Bought it 3 years old with 43,000 km's and fully loaded. I've had it for 14 years but it is now 17 years old and time to say good-bye. I'm hard pressed to get a new one b/c this one was very reliable and never left me stranded on the road. Wish they still made the Chev Cavalier Z24!"
"I got this vehicle when I first graduated college. I didn't have much money at the time and had just landed a job with a commuting distance of over an hour away going in either direction. This vehicle stood the test of time and took that commute in stride through extreme heat and snow for a solid 8 years with no problems whatsoever (I used to live in the high desert). My experience with this vehicle was so solid that I ended up buying a new Chevy Cavalier this year. :)"
"This was my first car and got it at 80,000 miles. In the (less than) 50,000 miles/ one year I've had it, the speedometer, gas gauge, temp gauge, alignment, and A/C all went bad. It'll burn through 5 quarts of oil in less than 4 months, the paint job is chipping at every corner, and the entire car shakes if you go above 80 miles an hour. It never runs smoothly and I always feel like there' something wrong with it. I've spent a good $2000 at the mechanic for it in the past year and it just keeps coming up with new problems every month. The only good quality about this car is that it's fast and easy to drive with decent mileage."
Pros: "smaller,great price,fun to drive,great first car"
Cons: "lots of recalls"

"This was my second car and second cavalier and i loved it. I got it really cheap and all the repairs were realy cheap as well. every car is diffrent depending on were you get it from you might get a lemon it doesnt always matter the make or brand. With my first one i got at 199k and stopped using it at 222k only because i got in a accident that was a deers fault. It still runs even after a head on hit. My newer one i got at 207k and its at 212k now and its still running like it should."
"I bought this car used with 90k miles on it in 2008. I've now more than doubled the miles on it and have had to do virtually no major repairs to it. Outside of replacing the clutch, I've probably spent about $300 in total maintenance. Just now having to replace the water pump due to a leak at 194k miles. Uses a little oil, but doesn't leak any. AC doesn't work due to an unrepaired leak, but that's what windows are for, right? I gave about $5k for this car back then. It looks a bit worse for the wear but has absolutely been the MOST reliable car I have ever owned. Still handles well, drives smoothly even at high speeds, and I still enjoy driving it."
"I bought this car used myself and have owned it for almost 7 years. I have never had any serious mechanical problems with the vehicle. I wish they still made this model since clearly it can stand the test of time."
