I own this car - My approximate mileage is 109,000overall rating 9 of 10rating details
Pros: "Reliable, easy to handle, good experience"
Cons: "Can be loud"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I purchased my 03 Cavalier (sport pack) in 2009 at 33,000 miles and put about 76,000 on it. I never had any major problems with the car. I did have to fix the power windows, horn, and a lighter but the major functions of the car never failed me. Unfortunately it was recently totaled in an accident and the car buying experience made me appreciate how reliable this car was for me. Its not flashy and a bit loud, but it gets the job done, which is all we really need. So if you are out there looking for a reliable, good enough gas mileage car, I would definitely recommend the Cavalier."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 80,000overall rating 9 of 10rating details
Pros: "runs great, good heat/air"
Cons: "loud at times"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I love my chevrolet cavalier. I have had this car since 2004, and it has been great. It was a great value, and I have had virtually no problems. I have lived in hot and cold climates with this vehicle and noticed no real difference in the car's performance. The only thing that has ever gone wrong in this car is that the odomoter light got really light and had to be fixed. No other problems. The heat and air in this car is awesome. It gets to the right temperature quickly and blasts out with a lot of force. I love my speakers, too. The car plays music pretty well. The only other negative is that when I drive, I can hear the wind and other road sounds pretty clearly if the radio is off. My husband's car does not do this. Overall, I love my cavalier and wish they still made these as I will likely need a new car soon (a bigger car for a family)."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 195,000overall rating 8 of 10rating details
Pros: "MPG for age, acceleration, can take a beating"
Cons: "Fuel pump replaced 3 times, loud ride"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"This review is based on the age and high mileage of the car: I got this car in 2011 when it had 122,000 miles. Fast forward to 2014 and now it has 195,000 miles. It is the base model so it has power of hand windows and locks but that is trivial. The interior is basic but there was no/minimal fancy equipment in any car back in the day. I call it my little race car. It still has pep at over 10 years old. Acceleration is still great, but I don't want to overdo it since the car is old. Transmission and engine are still good. It still gets good gas mileage. It is not a quiet ride and I feel every pot hole. It is getting old and well-driven so don't expect anything like the new fancy, cars. The two things I absolutely do not like: 1. I have twice lost the front plastic part that has the Chevy symbol. Both times it flew off on the highway. 2. Fuel pump has been replaced 3 times and it is working on a 4th. Car sometimes does not start unless I leave the key in the electrical on position to prime the pump. Many parts have been replaced but any car at this age and mileage would probably need new parts. Wiper motor, wiper fluid line, spark plugs, ignition coil, alternator, fuel pump x3, rack and pinion, front strut, the engine fan (led to slight overheating) and ball joints were replaced. Something else involving the front left wheel and grinding noise as replaced but I don't remember what. If you need a good, cheap to get around and can find a lower mileage car then it is worth it. A+ in snow with no added weight."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 210,000overall rating 9 of 10rating details
Cons: "out of date style"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"I received this car post-graduation. It's been a great low-cost car and has really required only minimal maintenance (oil, tires, brakes). Had a few other failures a couple of times in my 2 year ownership, but nothing that kept it down more than a day. I would recommend it to anyone on a tight budget."
