Pros: "Great handling, No issues, Great MPG"

Cons: "Since it's older, doesn't have the newer options"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"My parents had bought me this car back in 2006 when I was in high school as my first vehicle. It was used as a rental car in Hawaii, but we bought it in Wisconsin. I have used this thing to drive 4 hours to and from college during the winters of Wisconsin and Minnesota. I absolutely love it! I've never had any issues with it and it handles great. I'm going to be extremely sad to part with it whenever I do buy a new vehicle. I average 31-32 MPG on the highway which is awesome."

An inexpensive car because it is made too cheaply.

Pros: "decent mileage, engine is easily accessible"

Cons: "poor quality, bad clear coat, noisy, no options"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"It's no wonder they do not make the Cavalier anymore. It is not much of a car. It is like they used the lowest quality everything on the car. It has tons of road noise, every conceivable option is missing, and although I just use it as a commuter, sometimes I dread just getting in it one more time. Just to give one example, the sun visor is so short that when the sun is sideways it barely covers half the window, obviously it was cheaper to install a short one. I would definitely recommend a step up in your automobile purchase. Plus, you have to take off the front tire just to change the oil"

Pros: "A/C worked well for ten years"

Cons: "instrument cluster failed after two/three years."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"I bought this Cavalier (used) after Hurricane Katrina. A/C worked great until 2015. One transmission change. Annual repair for last five years about 800 dollars. Same instrument cluster problem as every other Cavalier."

Pros: "Great price, Great on gas, Very reliable"

Cons: "Small car, 2 door"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Most Cavaliers you get often need work unless you buy one brand new at a dealership. I have had a Cavalier since I turned 16 I am now 20 and still have a cavalier all you have to do just like anything other car is make sure you do the necessities such as, Change the oil & sparkplugs when needed! I absolutely love my cavalier it is defiantly a reliable car and perfect for someone to start off in because most parts aren't that expensive and they will run forever! Also it doesn't take much to fill it up with gas! so that is a plus!!!"

Pros: "Great gas mileage, handles well, easy to drive"

Cons: "small, low to ground, no power windows/locks."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This was my first car and it is incredibly reliable. Driving through western new york weather did take a toll on it rust wise but let me tell you, it still plowed right through the snow for 4 years. The gas mileage is wonderful. Over all, it is very small and low to the ground but being a smaller person it fit me well."
