"The thing we loved about this vehicle was the 4x4. It would go anywhere in any type of weather. On the down side there was just soooo many mechanical problems. From brakes to fuel pump to exhaust problems. You name it and we had to fix it!"

Pros: "suprisingly quick, it will wake you up"

Cons: "Gas mileage suffers some"

"Only negative is the mileage which is about 20 mpg for general driving but then it has a 4.3 v6 that is fuel injected and fast and will pull medium trailers or boats with no problem other than the mileage it is a great small SUV with a strong reliable engine. Not under powered like so many other small SUV's."

I keep getting these! - this is one of the best.

Pros: "Safe, solid, reliable, predictable, utilitarian"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This is one of the best Blazers I have ever owned. I am going West on duty and may need a larger vehicle or truck, so I am looking to upsize likely. I have had no problems or issues and get good mileage, have changed the oil every 3-4k miles. and replaced wipers, air filter, and a belt on recommendation of the shop, and it has passed Emissions tests without issue. The car rides well and is exactly what I was looking for at the time but I seem to have outgrown it in the Emergency and Disaster work that I do. The car is white with gray velour interior. It has all of the LS components and overhead storage as well as the secret side compartments in the rear. Seats do fold down completely flat in the rear fully carpeted gray and full spare is covered and mounted inside rear side. This car has done everything I have asked of it in every emergency and disaster response. The shift is on the steering column and has 3 overdrives for difficult situations such as sand and mud and heavy loads. There is extra storage between the auper large seats in front. There is also an integral security system and keyless entry. The ONLY potential downside is that it is 2dr and might be difficult with youngster car seat. But for larger kids or number of people it would carry regularly , etc. it has been great and much safer. Rear entry is exceptionally easy for equipment."

Muddin!

"I bought my 99 Blazer in 2003. For the 11 years I've had my B, she has taken good care of me. She's awesome in the snow (and mud)!Low maintenance just your regular service check ups. Sadly, a lot of major parts are needing to be replaced and I have to say good bye but being 15 years old I'd say that's pretty good. If I could I would keep her forever!"
