"I have had 10+ suburbans over the last 30 years. Removing the bed covers to put in a tall item is a hassle. The gas mileage for this vehicle is worse than any suburban I have had. If I had to do over I would buy a suburban, tahoe or truck."
"I have had my Avalanche for two months now and love it. It is a versatile vehicle that comes with tons of options. XM radio is outstanding. The vehicle has great power and rides like a luxury vehicle. The interior is classy, but functional. It has great hwy mileage for a truck its size (24 MPG), but in and around town I have felt the affects of high gas prices (12 MPG). The vehicle can be difficult to maneuver in parking lots or small spaces. The "standard" bag (for the bed pieces) that came with older models no longer comes standard, but as an option. The straps they do give are not very practical and difficult to use."
"I traded a 2003 Toyota 4Runner in for a loaded 08 Avalanche Z-71. This is my 13th new vehicle and it is simply the best vehicle I have ever owned. Many of my friends and co-workers weren't familiar with the features/capabilities of the vehicle (midgate, etc.) Chevy would sell a whole lot more of these if they actually marketed the vehicle."
