Pros: "better than a car or truck"

Cons: "ladies complain about parking at grocery"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"smoother than pickup, drives like a car, plenty of power, very versatile, roomy, good visibility, quieter than most cars, especially older cars of this model ['o5].Quieter than ant truck built before 2014. its the same vehicle as an extended Yukon but only seats five, can carry 8' material in the dry if you fold the rear seat down. a good choice if you are torn between a truck and mini van. they quit making them in'13 but might com back with '17 model. rated as one of the best in the truck class. everyone should have one! only mechanical work is oil and filters."

Pros: "Can do anything you need to do in luxury comfort"

Cons: "haven't found one yet"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Rides better than my parents luxury sedan. Comfortable on long trips. The ability to use as a truck or keep the bedcover in place and load 4 by 8 sheets of anything and keep it all dry. I have owned high end SUV's, Silverado's, sedans small and large and this vehicle is hands down better in everyway than anything else I have owned. Better comfort, better ride, better extras. Mine is basically an Escalade with a bowtie instead of a wreath. And 15K cheaper. They come off the same line. My wife even likes driving it but doesn't like having to climb into it wearing a dress. Not sure about the posted fuel numbers. I get 16 to 17 around town and 20 to 21 on freeway if I keep it 65 to 70."

Pros: "versitility, comfort, space, rugged, ride"

Cons: "issue w/rear discs faulty emergency brake"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"my favorite vehicle that I have owned with a Tahoe and K5 Blazer in tie for second...I need four seats and occasionally haul small loads, carry a Harley occasionally...this vehicle allows me to own one car when otherwise I would have to own at least two. parts are reasonable and vehicle is still solid...of course I have had to replace transmission at 164K...its a GM and that is expected."

Pros: "Very versatile! nice ride, good looks, has it all"

Cons: "Can't think of any?"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought my Avalanche new in 2003 and have never looked back. Will probably drive it until the wheels fall off (have 105K now)because to replace with something comparable will cost $70,000+ and I still might not like it as much. It was either get the Avalanche in '03' or spend an extra 12- $14,000 (at that time)and get a Escalade EXT. When the only difference in the two one has a Cadillac emblem and comes standard with everything while the other is optioned out to the max, is a Chevy but still realized the above mentioned savings. It has been a great truck. Very versatile with the folding rear seats and 'midgate' extending the bed to full size. The hard 3 piece bed cover is fantastic. You can stand on it, being 3 piece you take off just how much you want, or typically leave it all on. The step in the rear bumper makes for easy very on and off. In 2003 it still had the cladding which I like. Don't have to worry about door dings, scratches or rust. Gas mileage isn't great with overall 14mpg but if you want to go the speed limit can get 18mpg on the highway which isn't bad. Full time 4 wheel drive hi & low, 2 wheel drive or automatic and let the computer decide to enable 4 wheel when you need it the most. Just a nice truck and would buy another one in a heartbeat. Rides nice, looks good, and very comfortable inside. Don't know why GM quit making them?"
