"As far as minivans go, this is not your average van, I've found it to be one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. There is no comparison in all around greatness that is this van, with a 4WD option, and a 5,500lb towing capacity, this beauty really moves! it's really a shame they stopped making Astro's I currently own a 97' Astro AWD, and have modded it to make it quite the formidable off-roader, I've pulled out jeeps before. I currently have over 130k miles on it, and it's still going strong. I've had it for 12 years now, and it's never let me down."

"I have owned 3 of these vehicles over the past 10 years. With AWD, they are unstoppable. Gas mileage is "good" for a vehicle that will haul this much. I recommend this van. GM made a BIG mistake stopping production of the ASTRO/SAFARI without offering a suitable AWD replacement!"

Pros: "Drives great!"

Cons: "With AWD only 19mpg on Hwy"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have 215,000 miles on original engine and transmission. Still runs great. Rear air cools van quickly; I do not need it after interior gets cool. Seats are up higher than other vans giving a great view of the road and scenery."
