"I have owned this van for 12 years and loved it. I am trying to keep it alive because there just isn't anything on the market that can come close to this van for room and towing. It was top of the line when I got it. It is my dog-mobile. It goes to shows and pulls my trailer. I wish someone would bring it back."
Pros: "Great people hauler, comfortable, versatile."
Cons: "It is a box, but a good box."

"Can haul lots of people at much better gas mileage than Expedition, Suburban, etc.
4.3l v6 is a strong engine. Very comfortable and versatile.
I have owned 2 (1985 and 1995) and loved both. Also, was made here in USA (Baltimore)."
"I bought the Astro AWD with 60K miles on it and put on 160K more. It would start on the coldest (-60f) days and go places in snow and mud where other vans fear to tread. I would have given it a higher rating but for 2 items I wasn't particularly fond of. For a driver with a bad left knee it wasn't real comfortable to drive on long road trips. The ole fuel pump in the gas tank trick wasn't the Chevy's strong point. I put in 3 of them at $500 a pop. The van was just totaled from a rear end collision. It took a hit at about 45mph and could have been in much worse condition had it not been built on the S10 truck frame. The Astro towed our quads around really well with a light weight aluminum trailer."
