I own this car - My approximate mileage is 450,000

Pros: "If mechanical: very reliable, good mpg."

Cons: "to many grounds, electronic versions suck"

"I have two of the 6.5L diesels one is this truck and another is a 98 suburban. I love my old 93 that old girl fires right up in the cold and never misses a beat. It have over 450k on it and had almost no trouble. The worest thing ive had to do is fix a ground or two. Id buy another mechanical 6.5 in a second. Wouldnt give you two cents for one with electronics on it though."

Pros: "Great on gas, when it comes to long distance drive"

Cons: "The interior is tan."

My truck.

"This is the picture of the truck, the seller had in his add years ago, I have had many people make offers to buy it. And have heard many compliments, Even as far as leaving sticky notes, on my truck door at the store offering to buy it. I hear they did not make many models of this truck, but I can't be sure."

Most reliable truck I have ever owned.

Pros: "tough, smooth ride, good looks"

Cons: "terrible interior"

"Despite its poorly designed interior and all the squeaks, creaks, leaks, rattles (its a chevy thing), this truck has taken all the abuse I have thrown at it. I drive offroad, haul trailers, drive 7,000 miles between oil changes, etc. and this truck just won't give up. It loves abuse! I got it from my dad 5 years ago with 150xxx miles and I am well over 220xxx with no major issues on the original motor and transmission. If you want a no-nonsense, tough-as-nails truck that won't ever let you down, get yourself one of these old chevys."

"USE TRUCK IN YARD SERVICE-- EASILY PULLS 14 FOOT TRAILER WITH 2 ZERO TURN MOWERS AND ASSOCIATED TRIMMERS, BLOWERS, 21 INCH PUSH MOWER. MILEAGE IS CORRECT--COMPANY I WORK FULL TIME FOR BOUGHT NEW IN 1998--SOLD IT TO ME IN 2010 FOR 500.00-----IT HAD BEEN SITTING IN OUR BACK LOT FOR 5 YEARS---PUT BATTERY IN IT, NEW TIRES, OIL CHANGE, TRANS FLUSH, REAR END FLUID CHANGE AND RUNS LIKE A CHAMP.ALL POWER STILL WORKS, DOOR LOCKS, SEATS. CRUISE,WINDOWS. STILL STRONG ENGINE WITH THAT MANY MILES."

It's a great truck

Pros: "A very solid reliable truck"

Cons: "Gas mileage is horrible"

"It's a survivor and has the 350 engine. Good solid truck with plenty power. Love the two tone blue my truck came with. It always starts quickly. The ride's a bit harsh,but that's o.k. for a truck. Parts are available, and cost of ownership (except gas)is low."

Cons: "2 rear drs not avail in 99 ex cab"

"I love my truck. It has 300K mi and I've replaced the brakes once and had one major tune-up. I live and drive in the mountains and change the oil every 3K religiously. I have pulled a 26' 5th wheel across the country at least 6 times. I will only buy another Silverado."
