Summary: The North American International Auto Show in Detroit gave us our first chance to sample the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro in the flesh -- or should we say carbon fiber -- and what a treat that was. Certainly we'd rather be on an autobahn somewhere wringing out the 525-horsepower provided by its 10-cylinder engine or testing its purported 3.9-second zero-to-one-hundred kilometers time, but just seeing it on the show floor in Detroit was enough to get our collective hearts pumping.
