Concept: Jeep Renegade

Among the big ideas packed into the small, two-seat, dune-buggy-like Jeep Renegade Concept are a flat rear deck that can be outfitted with a number of gear-holding "lids," and a body and interior formed of one-piece molded composites that eliminate the need for harmful paint solvents. The Renegade's hybrid propulsion system can deliver about 40 miles on electricity alone, at which point a three-cylinder diesel engine cycles on to maintain battery charge and extend range to 400 miles and return fuel economy of up to 100 miles per gallon.
