Porsche Panamera to Offer Hybrid Power

Porsche describes its upcoming Panamera as a four-door Gran Turismo that combines equally generous front and rear accommodations with the driving dynamics for which the automaker is renowned. Now Porsche has announced that they'll offer the Panamera with the same gas-electric hybrid powertrain that's scheduled to make its debut in the Cayenne SUV at the end of the decade and deliver a 30-percent reduction in fuel consumption. When the Panamera is unveiled in 2009, however, it will be gas-only like every Porsche before it.
