Manufacturers continue to announce more forthcoming diesel vehicles aimed at attracting the increasing number of Americans looking for improved fuel economy.
Audi will offer a 3.0-liter V6 diesel in its 2008 Q7
BMW is putting a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six diesel in both the X5 and 3 Series. Both manufacturers use a technology known as urea injection to neutralize harmful NOx emissions, with the urea tank requiring refills every 15,000 miles.
Honda, on the other hand, is set to offer a diesel engine in 2009 that reportedly doesn't require urea and can achieve up to 50 miles per gallon.
