Cars like the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Challenger notwithstanding, design hasn't exactly been a strong point in the Chrysler family over the past several years. Which is why the Chrysler 200C EV Concept is especially refreshing. Sleek, muscular and elegant at once, the 200C incorporates function and form with an aerodynamic shape that Chrysler describes as "wind-cheating"; important because this stylish concept is also a plug-in hybrid. Powered by an electric motor and range-extending gasoline engine setup, Chrysler says the 200C EV can venture up to 40 miles on electricity alone, at which point the gasoline engine kicks in to extend the driving range to up to 400 miles. Consider it Chrysler's more-stylish -- but only conceptual -- answer to the Chevy Volt. A bevy of in-cabin technology includes Internet access and the ability to remotely control the in-cabin temperature and even track the car's location via iPhone.
